Delightful Grade II listed cottage dating from the 15th century, offering attractive period-style accommodation for three guests, located in the quiet hamlet of St Lawrence on the Isle of Wight’s south coast.

This pretty stone cottage is attractively situated in a quiet lane in the coastal hamlet of St Lawrence, on the South East coast of the Island. There are several idyllic coves nearby - Steephill Cove is perhaps the favourite. The beach and coastal resort of Ventnor is within a five-minute drive. Here, swimming, paddling, fishing and a variety of entertainments can be enjoyed. There are a number of shops, public houses and great places to eat including a Michelin Star restaurant. The larger beaches of Shanklin and Sandown are within a 10 to 15 minute drive, and there is also easy access to the south west side of the island - another area of dramatic coastline and also a wonderful walking area. The rocky beach of Woody Bay is within an eight-minute walk of the cottage.

Vestry Cottage dates back to the 15th Century and is a Grade II listed building standing in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This quaint, semi-detached cottage provides comfortable accommodation for three people in two bedrooms. It has been furnished and equipped with great care and many original features have been retained - including wooden beams, the beautiful doorway and pretty windows. The accommodation is all on one level.

There is an open-plan fitted kitchen which has been newly equipped. This has hard wood work tops, a Belfast sink, cooker, induction hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge freezer. There is a small dining area in the kitchen and a separate sitting room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, a flat screen TV with Sky Q and DVD player, as well as a warming wood burning stove, a beamed ceiling and wooden shutters on the windows. There is a shower room equipped with a built in shower, basin and WC; two bedrooms - one double room, and one single room with a shorter bed suitable for a child - 6ft in length. A travel cot and high chair can be provided. WiFi internet is available. Electricity and central heating are provided at no extra charge up to temperatures of 22 degrees. If higher temperatures are required additional heating charges apply at cost price.

The cottage has a pretty English Country style garden which is largely paved, and is walled and gated. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The sea can be glimpsed from the drive where there is parking for one car. An additional car could be parked in the quiet lane. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, The Isle of Wight Glass Studio, St Catherine's Lighthouse and Blackgang Adventure Park.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Beautiful cottage and charming location. We visited mid-November in extreme weather, but the cottage was toasty warm. It had all that we needed. Thank you for sharing the Vestry with us.

A delightful haven tucked away in sleepy St Lawrence, a world away from the hustle and bustle of mainland life. Beautifully decorated interiors and a welcoming courtyard with plenty of quiet places to sit and listen to the birdsong. Fabulous walks from the door step, an absolute idyllic break!
