This comfy, spacious and delightful top floor apartment enjoys a superb coastal position, close to a golden sandy beach, and offers spectacular panoramic sea views across the beautiful Ventnor Bay.

The Lookout enjoys a superb position with panoramic views across Ventnor Bay. Elevated above the sea, it is a two-minute walk down to the beach where swimming, paddling, boating and fishing can be enjoyed. Ventnor is a charming resort on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight - renowned for its mild climate and botanical garden. The promenade overlooking the beach has a variety of cafes and restaurants, plus a public house beside the sea. At the far side of the beach is a picturesque harbour with fishing boats and fresh fish including lobster and crab.

The Lookout occupies the entire upper floor of a large house. Steps lead to an external door which opens from the side of the property giving direct access to the entrance hall. Internal steps take you up to the main floor of this spacious apartment which provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for six guests in three bedrooms. It is centrally heated and the sea facing windows are double glazed. There is a large open plan sitting room with three picture windows offering panoramic views across the sea and Ventnor Bay - a wonderful spot to relax and watch the boats passing by, particularly during the Round the Island Race. The sitting room includes a dining area and is furnished with a sofa, arm chairs, a High definition Smart television with Freeview/Blu-ray and DVD player. There are three bedrooms - a master bedroom with open sea views; a second spacious double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with built in shower, basin and WC; a twin bedroom; a family bathroom with a bath, hand shower, separate built in shower, basin and WC; a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a tiled floor, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Central heating, electricity and Wi-Fi internet are available without extra charge. A folding bed can be provided on request to sleep an additional child in one of the bedrooms.

Parking for one car is provided in the drive. A weekly permit can be purchased for parking in the car park just above the seafront which is a short walk away. The shopping centre of Ventnor town is within a 10 minute walk. Here, there a variety of places to eat and boutique style shops. Also nearby is a tennis court, bowling green and Ventnor gardens. The coastal path is just below the property and it is a pleasant 15-minute walk to Steephill Cove with its attractive bay and fish restaurants. The fact that Steephill Cove cannot be accessed by car gives this coastal hamlet a tranquil atmosphere. Ventnor Botanical Garden is just to the side of the cove. Alternatively, visitors can walk eastward to Bonchurch and onwards along the charming coastal path to the resorts of Shanklin and Sandown.

Please be aware that children need to be closely supervised in the property as the large picture windows in the sitting room and master bedroom are low level and can be opened right back from a side hinge. When young children are in the property it is important that the windows are only opened by a secondary mechanism which means the windows lean out from a bottom hinge to provide fresh air. There are also safety locks on the windows.

We LOVE the Lookout! This is our fifth visit and we really appreciate the comfortable surrounds with it's healing and inspiring view. Just to note, for anyone with mobility issues, access could be restricted by the entrance stairs.

Magnificent views over the bay. The flat was very well equipped & comfortable. Located half way up the very steep road from the beech - it would be less suitable for those with difficulty walking. A single parking space for the flat was a bonus, but it is very tight manoeuvring in & out. There is no other free parking in the nearby vicinity.

Lovely holiday in IOW, wonderful places to visit and what a beautiful place to come back to at the end of the day with stunning sea views. It had everything you required for use, it was a real pleasure and would return again. One comment, main bed was uncomfortable due to softness, so swapped. Pleasant walk down into the quiet town for an evening dRead morerink at the Spyglass, quieter 7pm onwards. This is an excellent apartment. Lots of room for two couples and wonderful location and sea views. Parking space is also a plus in Ventnor. Im sure well be staying there again and I can recommend unreservedly to any potential renters.

A lovely comfortable apartment with a fantastic view - we sat and looked out for ages! Very spacious for 4 adults, well equipped and very comfortable beds. A good location but the steep hill could be a problem for some. The parking space is rather tight for manouvering. This was our second visit to the lookout in 3 years. In fact we found some toys we lost on the last visit! The Flat is ideally situated above the Spyglass Inn and the beach. You are a short walk away from Castle cove. Steephill cove and the award winning town Park. Stunning location. The views are fantastic and the apartment has a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. It is well equipped and feels very spacious. A short walk to the town centre will take you to the shops, or down to the Esplanade and beach. A wonderful find for Holiday Cottages once again. Thank you!
