Just half a mile from Ventnor’s golden beach, this light, fresh and friendly ground-floor apartment makes a lovely holiday base for couples and families. Offering ample cosy accommodation for four guests, this stylish and relaxing property is a fabulous base for exploring the southern coastline of the Isle of Wight. Positioned at the southernmost tip of the island, the Victorian resort of Ventnor is known for its bustling seafront, with quaint beach huts, a traditional promenade and the beautiful Cascade Gardens.

Eight external steps lead from the entrance gate to the front door of this airy and cheerful apartment which offers a bright, welcoming and attractive lounge/diner. The lounge is a great space to unwind in, with a TV, plenty of seating and views across the garden. You can gather together to enjoy a favourite family meal around the dining table, and the fully equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. Exploring further, there are two spacious bedrooms decorated in soothing neutral tones: a cosy double room and a charming twin room. The apartment also has a stylish tiled shower room. Stepping outside, the back garden features glimpses of the sea, a charming lawn and a patio with outdoor furniture, making this a delightful spot for al fresco dining at the end of a lovely day.

Known as a popular suntrap due to its microclimate, Ventnor is home to a wealth of attractions including Ventnor Botanic Garden, the Haven Fishery, the historic harbour and the thriving Esplanade. The town lies below St Boniface Down and makes a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Local attractions include Blackgang Chine, Godshill Model Village and Amazon World Zoo (all within 6 miles). Also within easy reach are the delightful coastal resorts of Shanklin (4.5 miles) and Sandown (8 miles) to the east.

We had a lovely stay overall - really great location and nicely furnished etc, but there were a few things that could have been better from a cleanliness and comfort perspective. Also a bit of a lack of thought re essentials/absolute basics for guests coming to stay, none of the little touches you often get from self catering 'holiday cottages'.

The cottage is spacious and spotlessly clean. It is tastefully decorated, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. There is a fairly steep walk to and from the town and sea front. Parking was occasionally a bit of a trek to the property.

We had a fantastic stay here at Sunnybank. The apartment has a peaceful atmosphere, is very clean along with having everything youd need when away. From tea/coffee, hairdryer, towels (both for the beach and bathroom), toilet rolls, games, comfy sofa, outside seating, blankets, WiFiwashing machine, etc! We were simply delighted and would definitely Read morestay again. Initially we were worried about parking but we managed fine without buying a parking ticket, theres lots of roads with free parking. Excellent place to stay. Lots of little touches such as beach towels, milk left for us on first day. Blankets in lounge. Had a lovely stay. Would recommend as its our second time there! Wonderful location a walk away to beach and shops.

This is a nicely furnished well equipped flat in a great location if you can manage the steep but short walk back from Ventnor. . The big garden and outdoor toys were well used and the beach towels a nice touch. Beds werent the comfiest and the flat could have been cleaner, it was quite dusty. Overall we had a great week in this property. No streetRead more parking on arrival and so paid 53 for a weekly ticket on the car park 5 minutes down the road but could use it on all IOW council parking. Hide

A really spacious and comfortable apartment with a pretty garden. Quality furnishings, bedding, towels and equipment. Nice and snuggly in cold weather. Its a 5 minute downhill walk to town, theres a nearby footpath down the cliff to the seafront and plenty of free parking nearby (out of season). This is a lovely flat with a gorgeous garden. It is well kept and the small touches such as washing up liquid, proper coffee, parking map and lovely fluffy towels were appreciated. We would definitely recommend this as a superb location for exploring the Isle of Wight and will almost certainly be back.

Excellent flat , very comfortable and has everything you would need. Location is quite good but on a hill. Only a couple of things, free parking is an issue, quite a hike. and the Wifi is poor keeps dropping out.

We loved the accommodation. Modern flat in a Victorian house. Lovely garden. Bedrooms have black out blinds and curtains, so not woken at dawn or dancing on the bed every night trying to throw car rug over the curtain rail. Bought a weeks car park ticket at the nearby car park that also does most island council car parks too. Loved IoW and thoroughRead morely recommend the accommodation and its location, but not for guests with mobililty issues as part way up a hill. Hide

Beech and ventnor Town centre are easily accessible. The property/garden are well maintained and is a comfortable homely place to stay. On street parking available a short walk away.

Great holiday at sunnybank. Location and condition great - perfect place to explore and access to all beaches. We had two young boys and they loved the garden area and toys that were there. Only bit of feedback was on the WiFi connection- pretty impossible to use/unreliable. Lovely place to stay.

We had an amazing week staying at this property. It is really well equipped and comfortable. The owners have clearly thought about all the little extras so you dont need to bring them with you. Large living room and garden, perfect for a high energy little one to run around. All the amenities you'd likely want from the kitchen and bathroom. Good location within Ventnor with quick access to the shops, beach and surrounding areas (just ignore all the hills and you'll be fine!)

Beautiful property only a short walk from the seafront. Gorgeous back garden with stunning views of the sea itself, while the interior has obviously recently been modernised using quality materials. To top it off, the property is located in Ventnor, in my opinion the best place to base yourself on the Isle. Highly recommended.

A really clean and well equipped apartment and garden. Great location for walking to the beach and town. Perfect for our family. I was concerned about parking my large van, but I found a free spot just about 20m away down the hill every day.
