Shiloh is a Grade II listed barn attractively situated in a quiet lane in an area of beautiful countryside, on the southeast of the Isle of Wight and within a five-minute drive of the coast. This is a fantastic walking and cycling area with footpaths leading to the nearby villages of Whitwell and Godshill, and also linking with renowned walks such as the Stenbury Trail and the walk along the River Yar which extends from Niton on the south coast to the nature reserves of Bembridge in the east. There are cycling routes and trails over the downs. The picturesque village of Godshill is within a three-minute drive and here, there are public houses and a restaurant for meals, as well as a chocolate shop, tea shops and a lovely church. There is also a public house in the centre of the village of Whitwell. The sandy beaches of the resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor are within a ten-minute drive.

Shiloh is a charming stone barn which has been skilfully converted to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for five people in two bedrooms. It is accessed via a private drive shared with an adjoining property. The barn has tiled floors with underfloor heating throughout, and has the advantage of being on one level. There is a spacious living room with French doors opening into the garden, furnished with two leather sofas and a large wall mounted flat screen television/Freeview/DVD; a dining area with a table and chairs for six; a well-equipped fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and halogen hob, a combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a washer/dryer; a shower room with basin and W.C.

A hallway leads from the living room to two bedrooms - a spacious triple room with a single bed and a full size bunk bed, and a double bedroom. This is a lovely, light room with a small sitting area, television and French doors opening into the garden. Wardrobes are provided in both bedrooms. A travel cot and high chair can be made available. Central heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are included at no extra charge. The main rooms of the cottage overlook the garden which is a fully fenced and secure with a lawn and garden furniture, plus a barbecue. There is a pathway of wooden sleepers and a sloped entrance from the garden to a gravel parking area at the side of the cottage - parking for two cars. Visitors can enjoy fishing at the nearby lakes of Nettlecombe.

A very well presented and kept cottage. Kitchen well equipped. Bathroom also - and has an excellent shower. The outdoor area looked very good but the weather during our stay kept us from using it! But with 2 sets of French Doors to access it, I could see it being a boon in decent weather. The Wi-Fi is glacially slow and that is probably just down tRead moreo the area. But 4G reception is good so that provides an alternative. Hide

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The house was extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming. We had a bowl of fruit and a pint of milk to start us off which was a very nice touch. The house is offset from the road in a quiet location.
