Traditional Victorian villa in the upper reaches of Ventnor, boasting spectacular sea views from the secluded garden and several rooms, and a local sandy beach.

This traditional Victorian villa stands in the upper reaches of Ventnor, within a 15-minute walk of the beach and enjoys spectacular sea views. Ventnor is a small seaside resort on the south coast of the Isle of Wight with a variety of restaurants and cafes, plus a delicatessen and a fresh fish shop. Ventnor has a picturesque bay where swimming, paddling, fishing and boat trips are available. The larger seaside resorts of Shanklin and Sandown are within a ten-minute drive. The house is situated in a fantastic walking area with the coastal path linking Ventnor with Luccombe and Shanklin, plus superb nearby walks across St Boniface Down. A golf course and fishing lakes are within a five-minute drive.

Seaview Villa has been furnished and equipped with care to provide attractive accommodation. It is centrally-heated and double-glazed with open sea views from its south-facing rooms and garden. On the ground floor there is a lovely sitting room with sofas, armchair, a feature fireplace with a flame-effect fire, a Nintendo Wii with some games, a flat-screen television with Freeview and a DVD player; a spacious dining room with a table and chairs for six and sea views; an adjoining fitted kitchen equipped with an electric double oven and ceramic hob, a microwave, a slim-line dishwasher, a washer/dryer and fridge (small freezer in separate cupboard); a bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC.

Stairs lead up to three charming bedrooms - a master double bedroom with a king size bed, small en-suite shower room with basin and WC; a second spacious double bedroom with a king-size bed and a sea view; a single bedroom with sea views, plus a shower basin and a small WC. A travel cot/high chair/stair gate can be provided. The single bedroom is accessed via the second double bedroom which can be curtained off for privacy. The WCs upstairs are of a small bore Saniflow design. WiFi, central heating and electricity are provided without extra charge.

Seaview Villa has an enclosed garden at the front and a larger gated, walled and fenced garden at the rear. There is a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine, and an area of lawn where games can be played. At the far end of the garden, the summer house and second patio enjoy lovely sea views. Cars can usually be parked in the road in front of the villa or in nearby lanes. There is a bus service into the centre of Ventnor within a couple of minutes walk. This service also extends to Godshill, Newport, Shanklin and inter-links with buses to most parts of the island, plus there are easy links via a train service from Shanklin to Ryde, with fast hover craft and catamaran services to the mainland and train services to London. There are public houses, restaurants and shops within a ten minutes downhill walk.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The cottage really is home from home! Everything needed is provided. The beds were comfortable, the cottage was very clean and the garden was neat and tidy. Really enjoyed the little summer house overlooking the sea. The back garden is a real suntrap, despite how cold the weather was.
