Seaview Cottage enjoys open views across rolling countryside to the sea. It is attractively situated in the lovely village of Worth Matravers in the Isle of Purbeck, and the sea at Winspit is within a 15-minute walk. This area of coastline is part of the renowned Jurassic Coast and a World Heritage Site. It is a superb walking and cycling area, with footpaths and trails connecting with the coast path and various bridleways across the downs almost from the cottage door. The centre of the village of Worth Matravers is within a few minutes walk of the cottage and here, there is a pretty village green with duck pond, a tea shop/ supper room which is good for meals, plus the Square and Compass, a public house renowned for its local ciders and wonderful views. The historic village of Corfe Castle is within a five-minute drive, as is the seaside resort of Swanage. Here, the sandy beach slopes gently into the water and it is ideal for swimming and paddling. Visitors can also enjoy Punch and Judy, a stroll along the Victorian pier, boat trips, fishing, diving and a ride on a steam train.

The sitting room is furnished with comfortable sofas, arm chairs, large flat screen television/Freesat/Blu-ray DVD player, plus a wood burning stove which provides a central focus for the room in colder weather. Also on the ground floor, is a tiled wet room with under floor heating, electric Mira shower, WC and basin, plus a charming single bedroom.

Stairs lead up to a further three bedrooms; a master bedroom with a king-size double bed, fitted wardrobe and attractive Victorian feature fireplace; a smaller double room with a king-size bed and a wardrobe, plus a twin room. There is also a tiled bathroom with bath, hand shower, separate built in shower and basin, plus a separate cloakroom with WC. A cot and high chair or folding bed for a child can be provided. Electric heating is without extra charge and WiFi internet can be made available. Please note that only up to four children are allowed.

The property was well maintained and is very comfortable with great kitchen appliances. The sea views and the garden are top notch and is great to wake up to. Its a very quiet location and is only around the corner from Swanage and Corfe Castle. A few minor issues with the shower heads but other than that, pretty faultless !

Cottage was very clean, welcoming, and comfortable, with a lovely garden and good parking. Situated on the edge of a pretty village in a beautiful location, it was very peaceful. There was a sense that the cottage was cared for, with a nice atmosphere. The only slight concern, and one that is not possible to address, is the fact that the stairs areRead more very steep. No problem for most people, but I am disabled with a dodgy hip, so was glad there was a downstairs bedroom and wet room. We will return. Hide

Always enjoy staying in this area for years, beautiful scenery. The cottage was very tidy, to a high specification with a nice secluded garden with views of the sea. An easy stroll to the local inn with a brilliant vista. The area is quiet with numerous walks listed. Lots of eating venues within a 5 mile radius. Can't wait to return.

A very well equipped cottage with pleasing views of the sea and comfortable garden furniture which added another 'room' in warm weather. The second bedroom was a little cramped for people such as us who take clothes for every eventuality but that was the only downside.

Cottage was lovely, had everything. However we had a lot of rain and it is very isolated. We decided to have a lazy day but there is limited internet and due to the winds we lost tv signal. This is no reflection on the property itself and the area is beautiful. Wonderful walks when sunny and dry. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of room

It was fantastic. Suited our group perfectly. Three generations, a niece and a foster daughter. This cottage was very comfortable and has a lovely garden with a great view of the sea. It was spotlessly clean and we were provided with lots of little extras (washing up products and cloths, toilet paper, milk etc) which was helpful. The owners also made us feel very welcome with tea and cake laid out for us when we arrived. The only down side waRead mores the noise from the pub down the road in the evenings at weekends and the building work next door - it rather spoilt an otherwise tranquil spot. Hide
