Close to plenty of charming villages, thriving market towns and quiet coves, this is a fantastic holiday base for keen walkers and nature lovers.

Entering this tastefully furnished property, you will find the fresh, spacious and welcoming lounge/diner. With triple-aspect glazing, a feature stone wall and an open fire, this charming room is ideal for relaxing in at the end of a lovely day. French doors lead out onto the terrace offering glorious views across the fields. There’s also a stylish and fully equipped kitchen with an additional seating area. Going upstairs, there are three spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms, all with stunning views – there’s one double room, a twin and a single. The property is surrounded by extensive sloping lawns and features a beautiful terraced area offering an ideal space for enjoying al fresco meals while admiring stunning views across the valley and towards the sea.

Worth Matravers is within easy reach of several coastal spots including Winspit Quarry (1 mile), Chapman’s Pool (1.5 miles), St Aldhelm’s Head (2 miles) and Dancing Ledge (2.5 miles). You can also visit the pretty Victorian seaside town of Swanage (5 miles) and the charming village of Studland (6.5 miles). Nature lovers can explore Durlston Country Park (6 miles), RSPB Grange Heath (10 miles) and Hartland Moor (6.5 miles). Perfect location, good outside space. Inadequate toilet rolls for 5 people. Welcome pack was missing this year ,apart from a bottle of wine, so make sure you have essentials to see you through until morning. General cleanliness was lacking considering covid. Comfy beds and plenty of indoor space .

This cottage is in a wonderful location and very peaceful. We found the property comfortable and a good place to relax. It was well equipped and it was a pleasant surprise to have a really good cooker, unusual for a holiday letting. Did not have mobile phone coverage but good internet connection and there is a landline for emergencies. Several beauRead moretiful walks nearby. Hide

Lovely cottage, very well equipped and clean. Our only criticism would be that the double bed is a small one - and give the size of the room a normal or even kingsize bed would fit in. The unlimited supply of logs proved to be untrue as there were only a few in the store.
