This fantastic Isle of Wight home offers space and privacy for celebrating special occasions with friends and family.

Monkspath is an impressive detached house with a private heated swimming pool, set in extensive private grounds and with coastal views from all the front facing rooms. It is very attractively situated in the small rural hamlet of Limestone, and is only one and a half miles from the south west coast of the Isle of Wight. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the house is within a mile of the picturesque village of Brighstone with its beautiful church, thatched cottages, tea shop/bistro, general stores and public house. There is a peaceful beach at Brighstone which is good for paddling and swimming, and several small sandy coves are within a short drive. This is also a wonderful walking area with footpaths following the downs at the rear of Monkspath on the Worsley / Tennyson Trail towards the Needles. The house is within a 15-minute drive of the market town of Newport and the attractive coastal town of Yarmouth, renowned for its sailing.

Protected by high hedging and large gates which open into the beautiful gardens surrounding the house, Monkspath is lovely and secluded. There are views across fields to the sea at the front of the house and there are fields and downs at the rear. The house has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide luxurious accommodation. It is centrally heated and there are fitted carpets throughout most of the property. It sleeps 11, plus a baby in five bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a light and spacious sitting room with comfortable sofas, wide screen LCD television with Freesat and DVD player, and a wood burning stove which provides a pleasant focus for the room during colder weather; a second sitting room with a sofa, a second LCD television with Freesat and DVD player; an elegant dining room with a table and chairs which will comfortably seat 12 people. French doors open from here into a small conservatory where visitors can relax.

The kitchen is a light and spacious well-equipped room with fitted units, a range style cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also an AGA which will be switched on in the colder months and a central table for informal meals. A washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in the adjoining utility room. There are also two separate W.Cs with basins on the ground floor.

Stairs lead up to three double bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are spacious with king-size beds and have en-suite shower rooms with W.Cs. These rooms both have breath-taking views across the fields to the sea and one has a balcony. The third double bedroom overlooks the garden and has an en-suite bathroom with hand shower, basin and W.C. The fourth bedroom has a full size bunk bed. There is a family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower and basin, plus a separate W.C. A further small flight of stairs leads up to a spacious triple room with a connecting door into the playroom. Here, there is a large dolls house and a colourful array of soft toys, books and games. From the playroom there are even more spectacular coastal views. A travel cot and high chair can be provided. There is a telephone and WiFi.

In the secluded gardens, Monkspath has a heated swimming pool, teak garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. The heated pool is available from mid May to the end of October. At other times the availability of the pool is dependent on the weather. There is a cover available that will prevent a small child from falling in the pool. There is also a large trampoline (with safety nets) and a triple swing. The gardens are fenced and there are large lawns and shrubberies at the front and side of the house. At the rear, the garden adjoins a large paddock which extends towards the downs and which visitors are welcome to explore. Four cars can be parked in the drive. A rural bus service is within a few minutes walk. For Christmas and New Year, the reception rooms are festively decorated and there is a Christmas Tree and lovely table decorations for special meals.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Perfect week staying at Monks Path. The house has everything you could possibly want. It feels like home from home. The pool was beautifully warm so even on the most dreary cold day the kids still had a great time playing in the pool. We'll definitely be returning next year!

Thank you. The house was excellent, well appointed, clean and well maintained, comfortable and worked well for our group. Island Cottages did a good job with the booking too. We loved the location- walking out the back and riding our bikes each day.
