Set into the hillside backing onto St Boniface Down, this beautiful property is ideally situated on the A3055, giving you excellent access to the southern fringes of the Isle of Wight. Featuring tasteful accommodation for up to eight guests, this is a wonderful holiday home for a group of friends or a larger family looking to enjoy the stunning beaches and countryside near the Victorian resort of Ventnor. Enjoying fantastic views across the village and out to sea, this is a delightful getaway in glorious surroundings.
On entering the property, you will find a cosy lounge which is ideal for relaxing in front of the open fire after a long day exploring. You will also find a charming kitchen/diner which is perfect for preparing your favourite meals, grabbing a snack or sitting round the breakfast table by the woodburner to plan the day. Family meals can be celebrated in the attractive formal dining room which offers a beautiful sea view and has been stylishly decorated and furnished. There are four bedrooms including a ground-floor twin bedroom with 2ft 6 beds. Going upstairs there are three further bedrooms, all with sea views: a super-king-size room, a double room and a triple room with a double bed and a 3ft single bed suitable for adults (an additional pull out children’s bed available on request). Outside you can unwind in the steeply terraced garden which features a decked area with outdoor furniture, providing the ideal spot for enjoying a BBQ or a morning coffee while admiring the stunning views. There is off road parking for two to three cars.
The cottage is less than a mile from Ventnor, which is famous for its beautiful beach, traditional promenade and historic harbour. Ventnor offers a wealth of great restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as attractions including the Botanic Gardens. Heading north you can visit the Amazon World Zoo (6 miles), the Isle of Wight Zoo (7 miles) and Shanklin Beach (4 miles). Heading west you can follow the coast round to the Blackgang Chine and St Catherine’s Down (both within 7 miles).
