With fresh flowers, a welcome tea tray, cows and sheep in the surrounding fields, a lovely four poster bed, towels, an open fire and a woodburner for winter nights in, all waiting just for you, the cottage is not only beautiful, but very comfortable.

Situated in a pretty hamlet in a secluded spot just 4 miles from Ventnor, this beautiful cottage is full of character and makes a delightful holiday base for a small family or a honeymoon couple. Perfect for exploring the glorious scenery in the south of the island, the cottage is three miles from the coast and cottage offers cosy accommodation in glorious surroundings.

A winding path leads from the parking area to the entrance of this pretty semi-detached property. The lounge has been beautifully decorated and furnished and is an ideal s pace to watch a movie or curl up in front of the open fire. You will also find a delightful dining room perfect for enjoying a special meal which can be prepared in the fully equipped country-style kitchen. Narrow and steep cottage-style stairs lead upstairs to the charming double bedroom and the beautiful Four-poster bedroom which has lovely rural views. There’s also a pretty garden with a large lawn and a patio with garden furniture, providing the ideal location for a glass of wine in the evening. Please note the property has some low ceilings and changes of level throughout. There is also an uncovered pond to the front of the cottage.

Close to the tranquil hamlet of Whitwell, this charming property is a great base for exploring the south of the island. You can head to the coast and visit Steephill Cove, Reeth Bay and Ventnor Botanic Garden (all 3 miles). The popular Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor (4 miles) has a range of great pubs and restaurants as well as a beautiful beach. Local landmarks and attractions include Blackgang Chine (4 miles), the Hoy Monument (3.5 miles) and the Isle of Wight Zoo (10 miles). You can also visit St Catherine’s Down (3.5 miles) and the pretty beach at Shanklin (7.5 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage the rest of the property is spotless. Nice robes left on the comfortable bed, tea tray to welcome us with a pint of milk left in the fridge after anyjourney long or short is sure to be welcome. Our dogs weree welcome with a treat an supplied with 5star bed and bowls very pampered they felt.

We had a wonderful honeymoon in this beautiful cottage. It really is a special place and we thought the location was brilliant. The garden is amazing, perfect for our dog and securely enclosed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others!
