The lounge has been beautifully decorated and furnished and is an ideal s pace to watch a movie or curl up in front of the open fire. You will also find a delightful dining room perfect for enjoying a special meal which can be prepared in the fully equipped country-style kitchen. Narrow and steep cottage-style stairs lead upstairs to the charming double bedroom and the beautiful Four-poster bedroom which has lovely rural views. There’s also a pretty garden with a large lawn and a patio with garden furniture, providing the ideal location for a glass of wine in the evening. Please note the property has some low ceilings and changes of level throughout. There is also an uncovered pond to the front of the cottage.
Close to the tranquil hamlet of Whitwell, this charming property is a great base for exploring the south of the island. You can head to the coast and visit Steephill Cove, Reeth Bay and Ventnor Botanic Garden (all 3 miles). The popular Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor (4 miles) has a range of great pubs and restaurants as well as a beautiful beach. Local landmarks and attractions include Blackgang Chine (4 miles), the Hoy Monument (3.5 miles) and the Isle of Wight Zoo (10 miles). You can also visit St Catherine’s Down (3.5 miles) and the pretty beach at Shanklin (7.5 miles).
