It is one of a small number of properties on a causeway between the harbour and the water meadows, linking the seaside villages of St Helens and Bembridge. The centre of St. Helens, with its village green, public house, shop and restaurants, is within a five-minute walk, and its sandy beach is within a 15-minute walk. The slightly larger resort of Bembridge is within a 20-minute walk along by the harbour.
The house, on three levels, has been designed to take advantage of the impressive location with all the main rooms having either sea views or rural views. It is semi-detached and centrally heated. Stairs lead up from a large tiled hallway at the entrance to an open plan sitting room. This is a relaxing room with two balconies; one facing towards the Nature reserve and the other to the harbour. It is furnished with a comfortable sofa and rocking style arm chairs, a television with Freeview and DVD player, and a dining area at one end. A door leads from here into a fitted kitchen with an electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Also on this floor is a shower room with a walk in shower/wet room, basin and W.C. Stairs lead up to the upper floor where there are three attractive bedrooms; one bedroom with a king-size low-level Scandinavian style bed and two twin rooms. Also on this floor is a bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and W.C.
On the ground floor there is a large entrance hall, a utility room with a washing machine/tumble dryer and a garage where bikes can be stored. A folding bed, travel cot and high chair can be provided. Heating and electricity are at no extra charge. Wifi internet connection is available. At the rear of the house, the garden is open plan. There is a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed beside the harbour. Two cars can be parked in the drive. A bus service is within a five minutes walk. Small children need to be closely supervised as there is unfenced access to the harbour and the balconies are not suitable for children.
