The floating bridge makes it easy to cross the River Medina and from here it is only a two-minute drive to Osborne House, the island home of Queen Victoria. Cowes is renowned for its sailing and has an attractive centre with narrow streets.
Greenside was built in 1956 to an award-winning design (James Stirling) and provides light and spacious accommodation. It boasts a sitting room with sensitive spot lighting and windows overlooking the garden and golf course. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom with a super-king bed, a television and an en-suite shower room with walk in shower, basin and W.C.; a twin bedroom and bathroom. There are two additional double bedrooms on the first floor with king-size beds, arm chairs and each room has its own television. An inflatable bed can be provided to enable a child to sleep separately. Upstairs there is also an additional shower room with a hand basin and W.C. This lovely detached house is furnished and equipped to a high standard in a modern style. Central heating and electricity are without extra charge. As well as the gas central heating, there is also under floor heating in both bathrooms downstairs as well as the kitchen diner.
Greenside has a well-established garden that provides privacy at the front of the house. There is a sunny garden at the rear with a lawn and an area of decking with garden furniture and a barbecue. Red squirrels can frequently be seen. There is parking for at least five cars. A public house with views overlooking the Solent is half a mile away, a shop is three quarters of a mile and a limited bus service, 150 yards away.
