Charming Victorian property offering bright and stylish accommodation for six, enjoying a fantastic location just a short walk from the seafront and beach in the resort of Ventnor.

This stylish town house stands in a prime location, close to the centre of the Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor and is within a five minute walk of the golden beach where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed. Ventnor has a variety of boutique style shops with a variety of restaurants and wine bars. There are also coffee shops and specialists in local produce. On the seafront, fresh fish including lobster and crab can be purchased. There are wonderful walks along the coastal path from here to the hamlet of Steep Hill Cove and Ventnor Botanical Garden. Eastwards, the path extends through Bonchurch and follows a rural route to the larger seaside resort of Shanklin.

Etchings is an elegant Victorian house dating back to 1890 which extends over three floors. The house has been furnished and equipped with the greatest care to provide charming accommodation of a high standard. Two impressive palm trees stand beside the front door which provides access to the middle level of the house. Here there are two separate sitting areas in which to relax with feature fireplaces - one with an oriental feel and the second with a sofa, comfortable seats and smart television. On this floor there is also a twin bedroom and a cloakroom with a W.C and basin.

Stairs lead down to a charming dining room; an under stairs closet providing useful storage for coats, boots and shoes; a spacious fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and gas hob with five burners, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and striking Javanese dresser; a separate utility room with washing machine/dryer and second sink.

On the upper floor of the house there are a further two bedrooms - a master bedroom with a king-size bed, walk in wardrobe and French doors which open onto a terrace with access to upper levels of the garden; a second double bedroom, also with king size bed; a spacious bathroom with a Victorian style bath, hand shower, basin and W.C, plus a separate fully tiled wet room. A travel cot and high chair can also be made available by agreement. WiFi internet, central heating and electricity, bed linen and towels are provided without extra charge.

Etchings has a sunny courtyard with garden furniture which opens out from the kitchen. There is a terrace accessed from the master bedroom, which leads to the upper reaches of the property where a small private rock garden offers views across the town to the sea. Pebbled with a raised decking area and with a variety of shrubs and trees, deck chairs and seating are available to enjoy the sun. (Children do need to be closely supervised in the garden as there are different levels and some unfenced drops). Driveway parking for a medium sized car is available in front of the house, although please note that access is narrow. There is a public car park at the other end of Marlborough Road, a one minute walk from Etchings. Tourist Parking Permits can be purchased via PaybyPhone in 2,3,4,7 and 14 day chunks, offering excellent value as they also cover the majority of public car parks across the whole island. Regular bus service, public house restaurants and cafes, post office and two supermarkets are all within a two/three minutes walk.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
