Single-storey cottage situated within the grounds of a large manor house, offering private accommodation for two guests in the quiet coastal village of Luccombe on the Isle of Wight’s east coast.

This charming pink-walled cottage is situated in the picturesque coastal area of Luccombe amidst beautiful countryside - on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. It is a peaceful spot within a 25-minute walk of the quaint coastal village of Bonchurch and the larger seaside resort of Shanklin, with its beautiful sandy bay, entertainment, restaurants and wine bars. Dunnose Field Cottage stands adjacent to the coastal path. This is a stunning area of coastal path with meandering woodland paths and open areas where the sea can be seen. The peacefulness of the area attracts badgers, red squirrels and a variety of birds. Visitors can often watch this wildlife from the cottage and its garden.

Dunnose Field Cottage has been furnished and equipped with care to provide attractive accommodation for two people. The front door opens into a fitted kitchen equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, refrigerator, small freezer and washing machine. There is a shower room with a built in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail; one step down leads to the sitting room with a sofa, and flat screen television with Freesat and DVD player; a small dining area, and a bedroom with a double bed and fitted wardrobe. All the rooms have open views across the garden. Electric convector heaters keep the cottage warm. Heating and electricity is without extra charge.

The cottage has a secluded, fenced garden and overlooks a large open field. Garden furniture and a parasol are provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Sun loungers are also provided, and it is possible to relax and enjoy watching the sunrise. In the late evening badgers can often be seen. Visitors can park beside the cottage to unload and at other times can park in a fenced and gated area, less than a minute's walk of the cottage. This forms part of the larger grounds of Dunnose Magna; a grand manor house. The cottage is approached via a country gravel lane - not suitable for low profile cars. Public houses, restaurants and shops are within a five-minute drive at both Ventnor and Shanklin. A bus service is within 15 minutes walk.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Our 2nd visit to this lovely little fully provisioned cottage. It was as tranquil as we previously remembered, hidden away on the coastal path. Bill and Jane were as friendly and thoughtful as the last time we visited. We will be back.

Bill and Jayne provided us with an immaculate cottage which was very well presented. We had every convenience we needed and thoroughly enjoyed the week, leaving wishing we could have stayed for another week.

This is a charming, peaceful cottage ideally placed to explore the entire island. The owners hit just the right balance being both discreet and helpful and made us very welcome. If we return to the Isle of Wight we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

A perfect getaway for two. Idyllic position and beautiful walks literally in all directions. The cottage was compact and the owners had thought of everything to make it a special stay. Would highly recommend. Our Rottie loved it too.

We stayed in this cottage when it was first opened and it was perfect. That was 3 years ago and we expected it to look a little worn. IT WASNT. It was as good as the first time. Lots of hard work I'm sure. Well done Bill and Jayne.
