Daisy Cottage dates back to 1650. It stands at the centre of a terrace of three traditional Purbeck Cottages, and offers comfortable accommodation for three to four guests in two bedrooms. It has been furnished and equipped in a traditional style and care has been taken to retain original features. (As a traditional cottage it does have fairly low ceilings and doorways). On the ground floor there is: a spacious open-plan living room with window seats and an open fire, furnished with a sofa, arm chair, and flat screen hi-definition smart television; a small dining area; a separate country-style kitchen with views across the garden, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. A washer-dryer is also provided.
A staircase leads up from the living room to a bathroom with a bath, hand shower, basin and WC, and two bedrooms with garden views; a double room with a king-size bed, and a second bedroom with a window seat and table top basin. This room is designated as a single room as it has a 4ft bed which can be accessed from one side. However, visitors who wish to accommodate two in this room may do so. A travel cot and high chair, or an inflatable single bed for a child can be provided in this smaller bedroom if required. High speed WiFi, central heating and electricity are without extra charge.
Daisy Cottage has a secure, walled garden with a pretty stone path and a variety of shrubs. The dramatic ruins of the castle can be glimpsed from the garden. Outside furniture is provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Cars can be parked in the lane below the cottage. A regular bus service to Swanage, Studland, Wareham and Poole is within a five-minute walk. (Daisy Cottage can be booked in combination with the adjoining Russett Cottage by larger parties of nine or ten. Russett Cottage has a dining table which will accommodate ten people so that meals can be enjoyed together).
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
