Traditionally-built modern stone cottage with all the charm and character of a period property, whilst maintaining modern style and comfort inside.

Ideally situated next to the excellent local pub, this spacious stone cottage has been built in a traditional style and makes a lovely base for a family seeking to enjoy the delightful Dorset town of Swanage. The property is set at the top of the hill along the high street and offers beautiful views over to Swanage Bay and Ballard Down. With the beach just half a mile away and a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops close by, this is a fantastic holiday base in a delightful part of this friendly coastal town.

Five external steps lead into this light and attractive cottage, which is set over three floors. On the ground floor, there’s a stylish double-aspect kitchen/diner. Stairs lead up to the first floor which features a cosy and welcoming lounge, two attractive bedrooms – a twin and a single – and a shower room. The second floor has the master bedroom with a king-size bed and reduced height in the eaves. This bedroom also enjoys a beautiful view of the bay. There’s also a second-floor bathroom. From the kitchen, you can step out into the small courtyard garden which is enclosed by a Purbeck stone wall and features a tree, potted herbs and a seating area where you can enjoy a morning coffee as you plan your day.

The bustling seaside town of Swanage is renowned for its golden sandy beach, restored Victorian pier and traditional promenade, as well as a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink. This is a wonderful base for nature-lovers, with Durlston Country Park (1.5 miles), Studland Nature Reserve (4 miles) and Hartland Moor (8.5 miles) all nearby. Local landmarks include Ballard Down (2 miles), Dancing Ledge (3 miles) and Winspit Quarry (5.5 miles). You can also visit Corfe Castle (6 miles) or take a ferry to Brownsea Island (8 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Fabulous 3 bedroom house in Swanage. Easy access to excellent pub, shop and short walk to beach and centre. TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime plus various channels. Crabstones is a lovely place to stay and in a brilliant location for shops, pubs & restaurants as they are an easy five minute walk down the high street. Fabulous!

Great location with very good facilities and comfortable bedrooms. Shower room, bathroom and downstairs toilet ideal for families.

Crabstones was quite nice but would not stay there again as from the front of the house you were straight onto the road plus parking getting in and out not easy.

An ideal house for a family with a dog - excellent beds and a well furnished kitchen which had all the cooking utensils you would ever need. In a quet location even though next door to a pub. A spotless house that was clealry well looked after by the housekeeper

Great cottage, excellent location (pub, shop close by and Swanage centre easily accessed). 3 good bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (plus extra toilet). Would have preferred a shower in ensuite, otherwise excellent.

A lovely house which is well located near to the town centre. It is right next door to a lovely pub which has a very good food trade, including in the garden, so be prepared for some noise from the garden. However, this doesn't detract from the property. Absolutely fabulous property in a fantastic location just a short downhill walk to the shops, bus station and sea. With the Black Swan pub next door serving a fab gammon steak and Arkwrights mini supermarket a couple of hundred yards away you won't go hungry. hello this was the third time we have used crabstones each time in december , house was as good as normal , the only complaint we have is there was no christmas tree this year .

1st class finish to house excellent fittings - very comfortable. Main criticisms :- terrible hot water supply to kitchen sink - it just didnt get hot. Couldnt find a way to use both ovens at once. Shower temperature inconsistent. Otherwise really good and would visit again. Good location for touring Dorset. Pub next door serves excellent food.
