Traditional cottage offering characterful accommodation for up to six guests, situated in the delightful Dorset village of Worth Maltravers, just a short walk from the sea at Winspit Cove.

Clematis Cottage is beautifully situated in the charming village of Worth Matravers amongst the rolling Purbeck hills. This is a conservation village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is known for its stone cottages, pretty duck pond, tea shop and its traditional public house where local ciders can be enjoyed by open fires, or whilst enjoying the wonderful sea views in summer. This is a wonderful walking area with a footpath leading directly from the cottage to the sea at Winspit and to the coastal path which can be walked eastward to Swanage and Studland, or westward to the villages of Kimmeridge and Lulworth. This is part of the renowned Jurassic Coast. The small resort of Swanage is within a five minute drive and here, there is a lovely sandy beach for swimming and facilities for boating and diving. The Swanage Steam Railway links with Corfe Castle; another pretty village within a five minute drive of the cottage.

This delightful Grade II listed cottage is in a small terrace of properties in a quiet lane near the village pond. Care has been taken to retain the original features of wooden beams, flagstone floors and wooden windows. It has been furnished and equipped to provide attractive accommodation for five people in three bedrooms, with a maximum of four adults. On the ground floor there is an open plan sitting room with a sofa and chairs, an open fire, flat screen television with Freeview and DVD player; a pleasant dining area; a children's bedroom with a small single bed and a bunk bed; a separate small fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and large refrigerator with icebox.

Stairs lead up to another two bedrooms; a double room and a twin room, plus a family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. Central heating and electricity are without extra charge and a travel cot and high chair can be provided. WiFi internet is available. There is a small terrace at the rear of the cottage, and shared access with the adjoining cottage to a private raised area of garden with a lawn and garden furniture, so that meals can be enjoyed the sunshine. Cars can be parked across the lane or by the village pond if space permits. Visitors are given a free permit for parking in the village car park; this is within a few minutes walk. There is a limited rural bus service available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Spacious cottage small but well equipt kitchen, narrow first few stair going upstairs (don't drink too much cider up the pub :-). Shared entrance to property which initial unsettled my dogs. But they eventually realised it wasn't someone trying to get in.

An incredibly romantic, beautiful and comfortable cottage. Lovely fire and sitting room, very comfy bed and a great bath - perfect for warming up after long blustery and rainy walks along past Dancing Ledge and Seacombe Quarry. Brilliant location in Worth Materavers, close to walking and the Square & Compass! Having got engaged whilst staying thereRead more, we will most certainly be back! Thank you! Hide

Beautiful cottage but be aware that there is a walk nearby so there is a lot of passers by and the noise of this can be disturbing with a small baby . Ideal for couples .

We felt welcome as soon as we opened the door. A lovely cottage full of period detail and in a most beautiful location. Wonderful walks straight from the door and a pretty little garden too.

The cottage is very cosy, warm and comfortable. Our children loved the downstairs bedroom where they could all sleep together. The kitchen was well-stocked, but a larger number of smaller cereal bowls and plates would be a useful addition. There is a lovely range of Penguin books at the cottage.
