Clematis Cottage is beautifully situated in the charming village of Worth Matravers amongst the rolling Purbeck hills. This is a conservation village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is known for its stone cottages, pretty duck pond, tea shop and its traditional public house where local ciders can be enjoyed by open fires, or whilst enjoying the wonderful sea views in summer. This is a wonderful walking area with a footpath leading directly from the cottage to the sea at Winspit and to the coastal path which can be walked eastward to Swanage and Studland, or westward to the villages of Kimmeridge and Lulworth. This is part of the renowned Jurassic Coast. The small resort of Swanage is within a five minute drive and here, there is a lovely sandy beach for swimming and facilities for boating and diving. The Swanage Steam Railway links with Corfe Castle; another pretty village within a five minute drive of the cottage.

This delightful Grade II listed cottage is in a small terrace of properties in a quiet lane near the village pond. Care has been taken to retain the original features of wooden beams, flagstone floors and wooden windows. It has been furnished and equipped to provide attractive accommodation for five people in three bedrooms, with a maximum of four adults. On the ground floor there is an open plan sitting room with a sofa and chairs, an open fire, flat screen television with Freeview and DVD player; a pleasant dining area; a children's bedroom with a small single bed and a bunk bed; a separate small fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and large refrigerator with icebox.

Stairs lead up to another two bedrooms; a double room and a twin room, plus a family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. Central heating and electricity are without extra charge and a travel cot and high chair can be provided. WiFi internet is available. There is a small terrace at the rear of the cottage, and shared access with the adjoining cottage to a private raised area of garden with a lawn and garden furniture, so that meals can be enjoyed the sunshine. Cars can be parked across the lane or by the village pond if space permits. Visitors are given a free permit for parking in the village car park; this is within a few minutes walk. The cottage was a real home from home. A great cosy cottage for a lovely holiday (even in a wet and windy February). Brilliantly located for walks on the coast path and Corfe Castle.

A lovely, quiet location, about 20 mins walk to the coastal path. A cute, cottage full of character but needs updating and a bit of a deep clean. Had to wash up a number of kitchen utensils before use. Would have benefitted from more info about the property and equipment prior to arrival.

Beautiful cottage very nicely equipped cosy and comfortable in a perfect location. We had a fantastic winter week, building fires in the cottage and lovely kitchen to cook in

A mention of the 'Cath Kidston' styling of the property might be inseresting for some. Staying in September we found the fully stocked open fire most beneficial and cheery.

We had a lovely week in the cottage. It's location is beautiful with a wonderful walk/run down to the quarry. It's only about 10 minutes to Swanage which is a lovely town. The kitchen is compact but had everything we need so we could cook and make packed lunches for the day. The bedrooms were nice, although the floors are a bit wonky but it all addRead mores to it's character. Hide

Lovely quirky cottage. Very shabby chic. Fantastic location in a pretty Dorset village with easy access to the coastal path. We had a lovely family holiday with our two teenage children and dog. We enjoyed walks from the door to Winspit, Dancing Ledge. Visits further afield to Corfe Castle, Swanage and the beautiful sandy beach at Studland.
