Elegant five-star property offering stylish accommodation for six guests, situated in Totland Bay on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, within a few minutes’ walk of the local beach.

This lovely detached house is situated close to the cliff top above Totland Bay on the west side of the Island. There are sea views from the rooms at the front of the house and the lighthouse at Hurst Point can be glimpsed in the distance. The sandy bay of Totland where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed is only a three-minute walk away. This is also a marvellous walking area. Chine Cottage is on the coastal path at the top of Widdick Chine and this path extends westward to Tennyson Down and the Needles - a renowned walk with panoramic sea views. There are shopping centres at the nearby town of Freshwater and at Yarmouth; a popular sailing centre with a variety of public houses and restaurants.

Chine Cottage is a substantial property furnished and equipped with great care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for six people. The rooms are light, spacious and centrally heated. There is a charming entrance hall with a Victorian style feature fireplace and a separate dining room for more formal meals with sea views. A delightful sitting room with comfortable sofas, Victorian style feature fireplace, a large flat screen television with DVD player and Freeview, a large bay window with a window seat, and a French door which opens directly into the enclosed rear garden. The spacious kitchen has sensitive spot lighting, and the floors and walls tiled with superb polished natural stone. There are fitted units with granite style tops, a large range style cooker with a double oven and gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a feature brick fireplace, now utilised for the storage of wine, plus a utility area with a second sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a also a separate cloakroom with a WC and basin. French doors open from the kitchen into a sunny conservatory with a sofa and chairs. Further doors open from here on to the patio.

Stairs lead up from the front entrance hall to four charming bedrooms; two double rooms with sea views, plus two single rooms, one of which has a balcony overlooking the garden where visitors may enjoy relaxing. There is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle and basin. There is also a separate W.C. Telephone and WiFi broadband internet are available. Heating and electricity are at no extra charge. A wooden cot, high chair, stair gate and push chair can be provided if required.

There is a secluded fenced garden at the rear of the cottage with a patio, fragrant shrubs, flower beds and external lighting. Two steps lead to the lawn - it provides the perfect place for visitors to relax and enjoy a barbecue. At the front of the cottage there is a garden with a lawn and shrubs, plus a parking area for two cars. Steps lead up from the parking area to the front door. Special facilities are available for dogs. There is a restaurant/cafe by the beach within five minutes walk; public house, small general stores and regular bus service are within five minutes walk.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £200 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

What a total gem of a holiday cottage. So much space and the conservatory was a treat on the one wet day we had. Everything had been thought of and the house was very well equipped. Super garden and lovely coastal location. We were very sad to leave.

Wonderful cottage, extremely well equipped, perfect location just minutes from the beach and coastal path and with a huge balcony giving spectacular views of the setting sun. Relaxing, very peaceful and with great outdoor space.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a very large house with plenty of different areas to enjoy. An extremely comfortable drawing room, tastefully decorated & spacious. The conservatory was large, bright and with good furniture. We were also impressed with the lighting which is often overlooked in holiday properties. What a wonderful cottage, probably the best place we have stayed in! The holiday was to celebrate my 70th Birthday, so we wanted somewhere special, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The weather was good up until the last day and we enjoyed many long walks straight from the doorstep.The property has a lovely spacious feel to it and we spent many hRead moreours just sitting in the conservatory looking out over the beautiful garden.So peaceful and perfect for our springer spaniel who had a great time too!
