Elegant five-star property offering stylish accommodation for six guests, situated in Totland Bay on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, within a few minutes’ walk of the local beach.

This lovely detached house is situated close to the cliff top above Totland Bay on the west side of the Island. There are sea views from the rooms at the front of the house and the lighthouse at Hurst Point can be glimpsed in the distance. The sandy bay of Totland where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed is only a three-minute walk away. This is also a marvellous walking area. Chine Cottage is on the coastal path at the top of Widdick Chine and this path extends westward to Tennyson Down and the Needles - a renowned walk with panoramic sea views. There are shopping centres at the nearby town of Freshwater and at Yarmouth; a popular sailing centre with a variety of public houses and restaurants.

Chine Cottage is a substantial property which has recently been renovated to a high standard. It has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for six people. The rooms are light, spacious and centrally heated. There is a charming entrance hall with a Victorian style fireplace; a separate dining room for more formal meals with sea views; a delightful sitting room with comfortable sofas, Victorian style fireplace with an open flame effect, gas fire with the feel of a real fire, a large flat screen television with DVD player and Freeview, a large bay window with a window seat, and a French door which opens directly into the enclosed rear garden; a spacious kitchen with sensitive spot lighting, and the floors and walls tiled with superb polished natural stone. There are fitted units with granite style tops, a large range style cooker with a double oven and gas hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a feature fireplace, now utilised for the storage of wine, plus a utility area with a second sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. French doors open from the kitchen into a sunny conservatory with a sofa and chairs. Further doors open from here on to the patio. Also on the ground floor there is a cloakroom with a WC and basin.

Stairs lead up from the front entrance hall to four charming bedrooms; two double rooms with sea views, plus two single rooms, one of which has a balcony overlooking the garden where visitors may enjoy relaxing. There is also a bathroom with a bath,  separate shower cubicle and basin. There is also a separate W.C. Telephone and WiFi broadband internet are available. Heating and electricity are at no extra charge. A wooden cot, high chair, stair gate and push chair can be provided if required.

There is a secluded fenced garden at the rear of the cottage with a patio, fragrant shrubs, flower beds and external lighting. Two steps lead to the lawn - it provides the perfect place for visitors to relax and enjoy a barbecue. At the front of the cottage there is a garden with a lawn and shrubs, plus a parking area for two cars. Steps lead up from the parking area to the front door. Special facilities are available for dogs. There is a restaurant/cafe by the beach within five minutes walk; public house, small general stores and regular bus service are within five minutes walk.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Chine Cottage is extremely comfortable, it is a very welcoming and spacious property. There were 2 adults and 12 year old staying at the property and we all immediately relaxed into the property. Great views and ideally located for a relaxing break. Thank you.
