Opening onto the beautiful Chillerton Down, this bright and spacious Grade II-listed thatched barn conversion makes a fabulous holiday home for six guests. Situated in a charming spot surrounded by idyllic countryside, the property is perfect for friends and families exploring the heart of the Isle of Wight. Just a few miles from the main town of Newport, the barn is ideal for exploring the whole of the island, with stunning beaches, bustling towns and glorious countryside in every direction.

Handpicked as one of our exclusive Joules Collection properties, this beautiful barn conversion features accents of the brand’s signature style throughout. The mezzanine bedroom and lounge are particular highlights, boasting soft bedding, colourful throws and chic accessories.

Two king-size bedrooms are on the ground level, one with an en-suite shower room, and one close to the family bathroom. There’s also a handy ground-floor study area. You will find the gorgeous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor, featuring a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and views over Chillerton Down. The spacious lounge is ideal for sitting back and enjoying a movie, or you can share a favourite family meal in the stylish dining area. The fully equipped and attractively designed kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm. Upstairs, the mezzanine floor overlooks the main living area and features a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Along from this room is the games snug with a TV and a multi-function gaming table so you can play pool, air hockey or table football. Outside, there’s a pretty lawn to the front of the house and plenty of shared land to explore surrounding the property.

There are some wonderful walks from the doorstep, with local attractions including Carisbrooke Castle (4 miles), Blackgang Chine (5 miles) and Amazon World Zoo (8 miles). Inland, there are some great places to eat and drink in Newport (5.5 miles), along with attractions including Monkey Haven, the Roman Villa and the Museum of Island History. To the south is the bustling Victorian seaside resort of Ventnor (9.5 miles).

Good central location. Easy reach to all areas of the island within 30mins. Accommodation is well equipped and sits between two permanently occupied properties. Some early / late instrument playing heard from next door but otherwise peaceful setting. Best day was walking from Freshwater to the Needles, visiting the Old Battery, taking a trip on theRead more high speed boat and riding the chair lift. Bugle Inn at Yarmouth was good. Chillerton Farm Barn is in a lovely quiet area overlooking hills. The house is very comfortable with a large open plan lounge/kitchen area. The neighbours who live there permanently were friendly. Fantastic holiday home, very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Kids loved the games area which helped keep them entertained. Location perfect to reach all areas of the lsland and its very peaceful. Views are also a bonus.

Lovely views from the barn. Comfortable accommodation for 6 adults. Kitchen very well equipped. Ideal location for us attending our son's wedding at Kingston Manor and Brighstone Church. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

What a special barn! Set in beautiful countryside, with wonderful outlook. We spent a great Easter week, despite the rain, staying in the barn. It has all a family could need, the games area was a huge hit & it was great to have so many bathrooms. The sofas were extremely comfortable & we enjoyed browsing through the book collections. The location Read moreis good as everything is a short drive away. We highly recommend Wight Go Karting, Archery at Tapnell Farm & the Military & Heritage Museum. Hide

The property has everything you need and more, it was relaxing and comfy, a real home for home comfort and some.The beds were amazing, the sofa was also comfy so we could relax after a day out. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was ideally located for getting around the island with ease - we were never more then 30 minutes from anywhere. The cottage was very spacious and clean with everything you would need for a stay. My 6 year old greatly appreciated the books and games and had great fun in the games room, especially with the air hocRead morekey!
