A spectacular barn conversion in the middle of the Isle of Wight, within easy access of many wonderful places to explore from family attractions to beautiful beaches.

This charming Grade II listed thatched barn conversion is the ideal accommodation for your family getaway. The property is located within a rural area of outstanding natural beauty and with access to Chillerton Down from the doorstep. The area itself has many brilliant walks to discover (a 2-mile walk to the pub at Shorwell is very rewarding), is popular with cyclists too and being centrally located, it’s a great base to explore all the delights on offer on the Isle of Wight. The island boasts many beaches including the sandy town beaches at Shanklin as well as a diverse selection of attractions to visit. Why not spend the day out fossil hunting at Dinosaur Isle, take in the history of Osborne House or Carisbrooke Castle, or take tea at the quintessentially English village of nearby Godshill? The island has something for everyone.

Step into the welcoming entrance hall, which leads to two of the bedrooms also on the ground floor level. The king-size bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room and WC, the next bedroom along houses a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into 2ft 6in twins on request). Head up to the first floor where the living accommodation can be found. The gorgeous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, enhanced by vaulted ceilings, boasts breathtaking views over Chillerton Down. The kitchen comes complete with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A stylish dining table is a great place for the family to gather around with the lounge an ideal place to chill in front of the wall-mounted TV with a soundbar after a full-on day exploring the area. A separate utility room with a washer/dryer can also be found on this level. Head up again to the mezzanine floor where the final bedroom with a king-size bed and separate shower room and WC is located.
