This delightful property is superbly situated beside the sea at Bonchurch, a small seaside hamlet with a pebble beach which is sometimes sandy at low tide. There are open sea views from the property which stands adjacent to the pedestrian only promenade. The centre of the village of Bonchurch is within a five-minute walk and here, there is a large pond which is full of wildlife, an 11th century church, beautiful stone houses and sub tropical plants. A Gastro Pub serving Italian cuisine in upper Bonchurch is within a 20-minute walk. Bonchurch has a peaceful air and perhaps for this reason was popular with writers and poets in Victorian times. A pleasant 20-minute walk along the level ground of the promenade leads you through Wheelers Bay to the small seaside of resort of Ventnor, with its larger beach cafes, restaurants and shops. The coastal path eastwards from Bonchurch provides a scenic walk through the rural hamlet of Luccombe to the larger seaside resort of Shanklin, an hour's walk.
Bonchurch Waterfront Bliss is the wing of Sea Shell House and has been renovated to a high standard to provide beautiful accommodation for six people in three bedrooms. The accommodation is comprised of a large open-plan living area with open sea views through floor to ceiling windows, and with patio doors opening into the garden, large sofas, a wall mounted flat screen Smart television/Freesat/Blu-ray DVD; a dining area with a circular table where meals can be enjoyed with views of the sea; a well-equipped kitchen with fitted units, a range style cooker with a gas hob including a wok facility, and a double electric oven, a fridge freezer, dishwasher and a central island with breakfast bar; (a washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided); a fully tiled bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC; a separate shower room with a built in shower, basin and WC.
There are also three charming bedrooms; a double bedroom with a super-king sized bed and lovely sea views, with French doors opening on to the terrace with a table and chairs; a double bedroom also with a super-king sized bed and a French door offering glimpses of the sea - this door gives direct access to the terrace and garden; a twin bedroom. There is a plentiful amount of wardrobe space and a French style single day bed available on request for an extra charge in the sitting room area. A travel cot and high chair can also be provided. An iPod and Bluetooth dock are provided, and WiFi Internet connection is available.
The property has a private walled and fenced garden with open sea views. Garden furniture is provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. Steps lead down from the garden to give direct access to the promenade. Two cars can be parked in a shared drive and from here, there is a private entrance to the wing which is on one level. Visitors can also directly access the beach by walking down the lane from the drive.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
