An enchanting cottage on the east-side of the island, where you can relax and enjoy tranquil countryside surroundings and gaze out at the wonderful sea views, spectacular Culver Cliffs and dramatic Ventnor Downs.

This charming cottage is nestled in the beautiful East Isle of Wight countryside, adjoining National Trust woodland renowned for its carpets of bluebells and abundance of red squirrels. The cottage commands wonderful views towards the sea and Culver Cliffs, as well as of the Ventnor Down. Visitors have the freedom to enjoy over three acres of garden and private woodland. The sandy beach of Sandown is within a seven-minute drive.

Beaulieu Cottage has three pretty bedrooms upstairs - one double one twin and one single room. The latter is reached by passing through the twin bedroom. On the ground floor it has an attractive and comfortable sitting room with a flat screen television, Freeview and DVD player ; a well equipped bathroom with bath, hand shower, basin and WC; a kitchen/breakfast room with fitted units and a hard wood work top, an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A freezer and washing machine are also provided. At each end of the cottage there is a sunny conservatory for relaxing and having meals whilst enjoying the beautiful views. Garden furniture is provided.

The cottage has been elegantly furnished with much care in a traditional style. Electric radiators keep the cottage warm, and heating and electricity are free of charge. The cottage has a wireless broadband internet (WiFi) connection. Beaulieu is one of two adjoining cottages and offers a lovely peaceful location for a holiday. (The adjoining cottage is only used as an occasional retreat by the cottage owner).There is no passing traffic and wild rabbits, red squirrels and woodpeckers are frequent visitors to the garden.

Guests can enjoy lovely walks directly from the cottage by following the footpaths and bridleways through the woods to the villages of Alverstone and Newchurch, or towards the coast at Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. Cyclists are within a five-minute ride of the cycle path at Alverstone which links with Sandown, Newport and Cowes. Keen fishermen may make arrangements to fish in the lake which is only a ten-minute walk along the lane. Private parking spaces are available close to the cottage for two cars. Access to the cottage is along a gravel lane which is not suitable for low slung vehicles. A public house, food store and public transport are within 15 minutes walk. Smoking and pets are not permitted.

What a wonderful, relaxing holiday. We met the owners and they couldn't have been more friendly. The comfortable cottage worked it's magic. We all had a great time. A great base to explore the island but equally to just spend time recharging your batteries in the huge garden. Thank you.

This cottage is amazing it is so special, we loved every moment we spent living in it The wildlife in the mahousive back garden was delightful to see. The cottage had everything we needed!! Fresh milk and cake on arrival was such a lovely touch! Overall 5star !!

The peaceful location was a welcome break for us and we loved the garden with all the visiting wildlife. The cottage itself is a not so little gem and we had everything we needed to feel at home. My city loving adult children were completely smitten. Would definitely recommend.

Second time renting. As before, a pleasant place to stay. Updates to the kitchen and decor made the cottage more comfortable and homely.
