Wareham is an attractive historic town with many paths/trails for walking including on the common (3 mins from house, many paths) and the walls (Saxon!) ; from the East of the town and the quay. Good for wildlife: Arne RSPB reserve is near; buses and trains to Poole or Swannage are easy.
