Escape to a coastal cottage in the heart of the charming Victorian town of Ventnor. Wake up to sea views from two of the bedrooms and start your day with a coffee at the breakfast bar in the homely kitchen. Sink into a tub full of bubbles in the freestanding bath, or snuggle up in front of the wood burner and Smart TV with your guests after a day of exploring.
Inside the stone cottage, you'll find a comfortable lounge with sofas. There is also an open-plan kitchen/diner, which is a sociable space with a kitchen island and sparkling surface tops. Upstairs are two doubles bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom also has a private terrace with a breakfast table set for two. Climb another set of stairs to reach the ‘truth wall’ – a section of the original wall which was built 200 years ago. There is also a bathroom and another double bedroom with sea views. Outside is an enclosed garden with furniture.
The town of Ventnor is well-known for its microclimate and botanical gardens (2 miles) with sub-tropical plants. Here you’ll also find a beach, two museums and an array of delightful restaurants and shops. The property is just 200 yards from the coastal path, so it’s ideal for keen walkers. Explore the nearby picturesque villages of Godshill (5 miles) and Niton (4 miles) where you can find tea rooms and thatched cottages. If you’re after a fun family day out, head to the Isle of Wight Aqua Park (17 miles).
