Enjoy a romantic break away or an active weekend at this wonderful one-bedroom ground floor apartment, located on the west of the Isle of Wight.

Studded at the heart of Freshwater, this charming apartment is a wonderful base for couples keen to explore the Isle of Wight’s windswept countryside and rugged coastline. Choose your route and set off in search of sea vistas and sleepy villages, refuelling with slap-up lunches at welcoming country pubs washed down with local ale.

Simply styled yet cosy throughout, your accommodation may be small but it doesn’t scrimp on comfort. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare all your favourite meals, best enjoyed in the lounge/diner at the bijou-style table. There are deep sofas for evening TV viewing, and when it is time for bed the king-size bedroom is a welcome retreat after a leisurely soak in the bathroom. The true gem of the property is the garden with its ample lawn space and patio with garden furniture. Please note that there are steps up to the grassed area and the patio. Share a bottle of wine and sit back to appreciate the mild microclimate of the island in style. There is off-road parking for one car.

Grab your walking boots and set out to explore, navigating the beautiful landscape to reach the summit of Tennyson Down above Freshwater Bay. This 2.5-mile walk will reward you with awe-inspiring views of The Needles, the perfect backdrop for a picnic lunch. Freshwater also boasts a scenic 4-mile route along the old railway line to Yarmouth where you can wander through the pretty streets admiring the shops and watching the ferries before grabbing a bite to eat at the pub. Freshwater Bay is surrounded by chalk cliffs and has a fascinating history of smuggling 2 miles away, and further along the coastline pretty Totland Bay 1 mile away is popular for swimming and fishing.

We chose this property because it had a secure garden with high walls and fences surrounding it. We werent disappointed and our greyhound had a safe space to run around. The flat had everything we needed, the bed and sofa were comfortable. It is in a great location, a few minutes walk from a variety of takeaways and 2 supermarkets. Great location a very clean cottage the owners not to far away to help with any query's. Places to eat Red Lion, Petesaria Great breakfast and chinese Oposite to cottage a great burger and grill bar. .

Positive note - We found the flat to be well equipped clean and well decorated. The location was very good giving good access to the local bus service and parking for the car. There were several local pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. Down side - My overall review of the flat was mainly positive however there was a funny smell in the fRead morelat and I thought it was stagnant water my wife thought it was a touch of damp whatever it is its not very pleasant. It was advertised that booking with Holiday cottages that there would be a Discount for the ferry . What they didn't say that we had to wait for 2 Days after the booking not Knowing weather there was any space left on the ferry .we were not repaired to take that risk.

A nicely laid out ground floor flat with outside seating and a garden for doggie to run and off street parking. Wi-fi, tv and dvd player available. Fully fitted and well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Shopping facilities bery close by. And take advantage of discounted ferry crossing link when booking. We shall be returning again.

Spotlessly clean throughout, very comfortable, great parking , lovely light apartment with a totally enclosed garden. Lovely owners who told us just to ask them if we needed anything. Lots of local shops including a Co-op, Sainsburys local and a Tesco close by. A well placed apartment, close to local businesses and facilities. There are some good restaurants nearby and a supermarket across the road. The apartment has everything you need for a holiday stay and everything was clean and tidy.

Great place to stay. The flat was spotless and very well equipped. Having a fenced in garden for the dog was much appreciated as was the off street parking! And the location was perfect though dangerous for our waists with the Co Op being so close for late night chocolate supplies.

Great location, all you need for two people, good secure garden for our dog. Freshwater has everything you need. Great Indian takeaway, the meal for two did two nights, there was so much. The baguettes from across the road excellent value and freshly made.

Great location to base two people and a dog who want to see the island. Very clean and tidy , all on ground level. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog to be able roam around safely. Although near the high street it was very quiet at night. Handy convenience store nearby and a Tesco 5 minutes drive away. Easy to park car off road. Not customer ready. The cottage was functional. There was a heating issue that WE had to sort on arrival. We booked that cottage as per the photos online. No cushions on very uncomfortable sofa. Outside patio furniture was being used to protect a flattened metal something. Nowhere to hang washing. Shower height not adjustable. I am 5'2 & struggled.Read more Non smoking but persons from other flat did outside & the smell wafted through. I had to shut the door. Property was was white with no character. Hide

This cottage is in a great location in a lovely part of the island. Despite being in the high street it is really quiet and it is great to be able to walk to places nearby and leave the car behind. There is also a good bus service. The owners are lovely, helpful and friendly. The cottage is good value and very clean and well looked after. Lovely cottage, on the main high street had off street parking traffic was a minimum because of the one way system when in cottage could hardly hear a car. Only 4 miles from The Needles and beach. Coop local across the street , two pharmacies and Sainsbury's local all in walking distance. Owners were lovely live next to the cottage.
