Property code: 85248

A cosy annexe located in the heart of a popular seaside resort on the Isle of Wight. The ideal choice for a romantic getaway or a fun-packed holiday.

Quirky and characterful with unique decor and access to some excellent facilities, this cosy annexe is perfect for couples. You’ll be situated just a short walk from Sandown’s glorious sandy beach for seashore strolls and leisurely dips in the sea rounded off with fish and chips at sunset. Weary from your adventures, treat yourself to an invigorating experience in your private sauna followed by a crisp glass of bubbly.

Tucked beneath the owners home yet ensured privacy, your abode features wooden-clad ceilings in the bedroom and neutral tones throughout. Rustle up something delicious in the galley-style kitchen using the electric oven and two ring hob and microwave, storing your spoils in the fridge with a freezer compartment. There’s a compact table and chairs for mealtimes, or head outside to dine alfresco. Snuggle up in the lounge and watch the Smart TV, or retreat to bed to watch the additional TV, chilling your drinks in the handy drinks fridge. Completing the property is an excellent bathroom with a whirlpool bath, but the ultimate treat is most definitely the in-built sauna room.

Sandown has lots to offer in the way of entertainment whether you are tempted by traditional beachside amusements such as miniature golf and arcades or something a little more adventurous. Golf, water sports, cycling and walking are all possible, but you will also have ample time to splash in the sea and sunbathe. The Garlic Farm 5 miles away is a wonderful place to visit to explore the gardens and enjoy garlic-themed fare, perhaps even sampling the beer brewed on-site.

I can confirm that all the other reviews are spot on, the accommodation is faultless, 12 minutes walk from the beach, 10 from the train station and bus stop at the end of the road, red squirrels in the garden and Emily's guide dog is beautiful and friendly, we shall definitely return.

Bay Springs was lovely. Its a very comfortable, well fitted out place for two. It has everything you could need, and is only ten minutes walk from the beach & shops. The parking is right by the property which was great for my disabled partner, and meant we could have trickle charged our EV if needed. The wifi is a bit patchy but worked well enough Read morefor netflix. The heating is from the owner's house above so can't be controlled, but there's a electric radiator if it gets cold. A lovely place in very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Lots of wildlife in the garden and loved seeing the red squirrels, a badger and lots of different birds. Emily (the owner who lives above the property) was very helpful and welcoming and her guide dog Truffle is sooooo cute. The added bonus was the sizeable sauna in the property. Well equipped has everything and more. The bedroom is large and spacious. Whilst we we visiting we had a fox come to visit the garden and the red squirrels made themselves known. The owner introduced herself and her guide dog Truffle. Close to the bus stops, just a quick walk through the cemetery opposite.

We are very pleased with our stay. All rooms are very nice and tastefully decorated and equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, even slow cooker. Quite noisy from above but understand from the owner that it is going to be addressed. In other properties we have had control of the heating which is better. As the Internet was down, a DVD player would have been welcome - being oldies we had brought DVDs with us. The utility room excellent although we didn't use it. We really enjoyed our holiday, and were privileged to be the first people to stay in the new cottage. Everything we could have wished for was available and the location, such a short walk from the town, was amazing. We also very much enjoyed the visits from the owner's dog, who took a shine to our baby :) Would absolutely recommend this cottage to Read moreanyone looking for a self catered getaway to the Isle of Wight.
