Cosy country cottage on the outskirts of St Helens, a pretty village on the east coast of the Isle of Wight. A great location for a getaway with the family and pets.

This pretty country cottage is ideally situated on the eastern coast of the Isle of Wight, close to the coastal villages of St Helens and Bembridge. With ample space for three guests, this cosy property is also ideal for guests with a couple of canine companions. This delightful retreat offers fantastic views, and there are miles of breathtaking walks for you to explore along the coast and into the countryside.

 

Situated along a charming country road, this light and welcoming cottage features a cosy and inviting lounge which is a fantastic space to relax in at the end of a great day. You can snuggle up in front of the wood burner and read a good book or catch up with a favourite TV show. The attractive kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to cook in. There's also a delightful sunroom which offers beautiful country views. The two cosy bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size and a small double. From the sunroom, you can step out into the enclosed back garden which provides a lovely space to enjoy the day.

 

St Helens (0.5 miles) and Bembridge (2.5 miles) have a number of delightful places to eat and drink, and miles of beautiful beach to relax on. The Edwardian resort of Seaview (2.5 miles) offers a choice of shops and cafes, and you can walk along the seafront into Ryde – a coastal resort with a variety of traditional seaside entertainments. Nearby attractions include Bembridge Windmill (2.5 miles), Robin Hill Country Park (7 miles) and Parkhurst Forest with its red squirrel trail (12.5 miles). Also within easy reach are Queen Victoria's Osborne House (11 miles) and the popular seaport of Cowes (14.5 miles).

A beautiful cottage, warm and comfortable. Great off road parking and a really secure garden which was great for the dog. All the little extras for us and the dog were really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place.

Gorgeous little cottage, so comfy & cosy, with personal little touches throughout that made it a home from home. Our pooch loved it also with her own little doggy treats, towels & blanket if needed. Would most definitely return, great location for East Wight.

Beautiful little cottage, good quality fixtures and fittings, fantastic shower, comfortable beds and pillows. All the little extras that are supplied make it home from home, wine, cake, milk for us, dog biscuits, throw and towels for dog's. Very clean too, wouldn't know it's dog friendly no dog hairs. The cottage did not disappoint. It was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Secure garden was great and ample safe parking at the rear of the property compensated for being on a busy road. Well presented and equipped cottage in a good location with easy, off-road parking. Footpath directly opposite to the lovely RSPB Brading Marsh reserve. The dogs loved it and so did we. Shame we only had 5 nights to spare!

Lovely cottage, extremely well equipped. Rear garden is enclosed which was good for our young dog. Cake, wine and several fresh indoor flowers a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a gem of a cottage. It's in beautiful condition, in a brilliant location, and it's full of lovely touches. We felt as though our cocker spaniel had been as well catered for as the human guests! We loved the plants, the flowers and the comfy seas. And we were really grateful for Natsha's kindness and helpfulness. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage in a great location - just across the road are Brading Marshes, great for dog walking and bird spotting (herons, egrets etc). Host was great and the cottage superbly equipped. Would love to visit again.

This cottage is excellently decorated and very welcoming. The homemade cake and wine was a pleasant extra too. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs to be certain they are safe and a comfortable place to relax with comfortable seating and lighting. This cottage is just amazing. Its beautiful inside. Immaculate, decorated and furnished so thoughtfully and the garden is secure all the way round. The location is great too. Youre near all the main tourist attractions (although nothing is far away anyway!) and the RSPB marshes opposite are lovely too.

Superb cottage in a wonderful location. The owners were wonderful, and put a lot of time and effort into making their guests feel welcome, with cut flowers around the house and some wonderful welcome items. This cottage was beautiful and the interior very well designed. The fact that the owners trusted their guests and their fur babies to treat it well was wonderful. Away from the noisy parts of the island but near enough to get to essential places. Would highly recommend.

It was a delight to stay at Carpenter's Cottage, a real home from home. It has everything you need for your stay. Our dogs loved the garden, which is fully enclosed. With the beach a few minutes drive away it was a delight to take them their for their morning walk before deciding where to visit on the island. Beautiful cottage (beware the low beams) and medium sized garden - busy road can be intrusive. Small property so 1 bathroom, no dishwasher - a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Definitely somewhere we would come back to. Not quite close enough to beach for a walk, but crossing to the marsh is healthy alternative!

This was a lovely home from home cottage with everything you could need including good parking facilities. The garden was lovely with good quality furniture, and all the decor and furniture inside were brand new and very modern. Lots of little welcome extras were provided by the owner like a beautiful vase of flowers, a cake and lots of dog biscuitRead mores and towels, which were very thoughtful.
