Enjoying a quiet location 3 miles from the thriving seaport of Cowes, this former dairy has been imaginatively converted to provide relaxing accommodation for two guests. Making a lovely romantic getaway for a couple, this stylish Grade II listed holiday home is a fabulous base for a range of activities including walking, cycling, golf, sailing and nature-watching.

Dating from 1804 and beautifully renovated in 2018, this charming cottage features a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is full of character, with exposed beams, tasteful furnishings and some restricted head height. The lounge is perfect for snuggling up in the evening with a good book or a movie. The dining area enjoys a pretty view, and the attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your favourite meals. Exploring this spacious and inviting single-level property further, you will find a lovely bedroom with exposed beams and a super king-size bed. Due to the age of the property, there is restricted head height and changes in floor level in some areas, with a slope running the length of the cottage. Outside, there's a small terrace and lawn with garden furniture, providing a delightful spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

Ideal for discovering the north-west corner of the Isle of Wight, this cosy cottage is within easy reach of the traditional coastal village of Gurnard (2 miles) with its beautiful beach. Cowes is famous for its sailing heritage and is home to the famous Cowes Week regatta. The town offers a range of fantastic shops, pubs and restaurants as well as attractions including the Sir Max Aitken Museum, Northwood House and the Classic Boat Museum. Osborne House – the former home of Queen Victoria is also nearby (8 miles).

The Dairy is a lovely place to stay. Very quiet and secluded. Everything you could possibly need, for a comfy holiday. Comfortable bed and comfy seating to relax in the evening. The beams are low, so take note but if your careful it will not spoil your stay. Lovely big bed with good bedding. Hope to return another time.

Had a lovely stay at Dairy cottage which is in a beautiful area, a short way to the beach at Gunard. The floor in the lounge and bedroom slopes and there are low beams in the kitchen area which is very characterful and not a problem unless you are tall. A very large and comfortable bed! There were some plubming issues which could not have been readily foreseen and which the landlords dealt with as expeditiously as they could.

This is a beautiful cottage, my husband and I stayed here for 6nights as we toured the Island. Mr &Mrs Atwell were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend staying here.

For our needs this home away from home was the perfect choice, the location to Gurnard and Cowes was perfect, it's a great base to explore the whole island, every day was a new adventure, the home was quiet, clean, comfortable, and we would have no hesitation to recommend this home for couples.
