The Granary is a charming cottage which has been carefully converted from the wing of a large, ancient barn dating back to the 17th Century - Ningwood Green Barn. It is nestled in peaceful West Wight countryside. This is a fantastic walking area with the coastal path nearby. Within walking distance of the cottage is also the Newtown Harbour and Estuary - a National Nature Reserve renowned for its range of important habitats for birds.
The Granary is attached to the owners home and is a secluded property which has been equipped and furnished with the greatest care to a high standard. It provides accommodation with the feeling of luxury for four people. There is a modern, fully fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer, plus a separate dining area. The sitting room provides a lovely place to relax with a leather sofa and chairs, television with Freeview and DVD player, and stereo system. There are two charming bedrooms - one double and one twin. The modern bathroom has a electric power shower, basin and WC. Storage heaters with combined convectors keep the cottage warm. WiFi internet is available.
The cottage has a secluded, fenced garden which is favoured by a variety of birds including Woodpeckers and Yellow Hammers. Garden furniture is provided. The pretty village of Shalfleet is nearby and there is a pleasant public house within a ten-minute walk. A range of great restaurants and shops are in the nearby coastal town of Yarmouth, a popular sailing centre, and sandy beaches are only five minutes drive away. A complimentary welcome hamper is provided. There is a parking space for two cars close to the cottage. A regular bus service is within five minutes walk, and the Granary is near the Island Cycle Route.
