This lovely stone cottage was originally a large and ancient stone barn at Sainham Farm. It is situated in the attractive courtyard and has marvellous open views from the rear across the fields to the downs. The cottage is in one of the loveliest parts of the Island, lying at the foot of Appuldurcombe Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Godshill can be reached by taking a pleasant ten-minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields. The village has a variety of tea shops and restaurants, as well as two great public houses. This is a wonderful walking area. Footpaths lead from the farm to Appuldurcombe and join the extensive Stenbury Trail to the coast at Ventnor. The stunning sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are under a twenty-minute drive away.
