This is a fantastic walking and cycling area with footpaths leading to the nearby villages of Whitwell and Godshill, and also linking with renowned walks such as the Stenbury Trail and the walk along the River Yar which extends from Niton on the south coast to the nature reserves of Bembridge in the east. There are cycling routes and trails over the downs. The picturesque village of Godshill is within a three-minute drive and here, there are public houses and a restaurant for meals, as well as a chocolate shop, tea shops and a lovely church. There is also a public house in the centre of the village of Whitwell. The sandy beaches of the resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor are within a ten-minute drive.
Shiloh is a charming stone barn which has been skilfully converted to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for five people in two bedrooms. It is accessed via a private drive shared with an adjoining property. The barn has tiled floors and has the advantage of being on one level. There is a spacious living room with French doors opening into the garden, furnished with two leather sofas and a large wall mounted flat screen television/Freeview/DVD; a dining area with a table and chairs for six; a well-equipped fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and halogen hob, a combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a washer/dryer; a shower room with basin and W.C.
A hallway leads from the living room to two bedrooms - a spacious triple room with a single bed and a full size bunk bed, and a double bedroom. This is a lovely, light room with a small sitting area, television and French doors opening into the garden. Wardrobes are provided in both bedrooms. A travel cot and high chair can be made available. Heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are included at no extra charge. The main rooms of the cottage overlook the garden which is a fully fenced and secure with a lawn and garden furniture. Visitors can enjoy fishing at the nearby lakes of Nettlecombe.
