This Victorian villa on elevated ground is only a short walk away from Wheelers Bay. There are wonderful sea views from many rooms and the Mediterranean-style veranda is ideal for gazing out to sea.
This Victorian villa stands on elevated ground within a one-minute walk of the sea at Wheelers Bay. There are stunning sea views from most of the rooms of the house and a five-minute walk along the promenade leads to the golden beach of the resort of Ventnor. Here, visitors can enjoy swimming, paddling and boating, as well as meals at the public house, wine bar and cafes on the sea front. Ventnor also boasts some excellent restaurants at the Royal Hotel and a Michelin star restaurant, The Hambrough. Seahaze Villa is within a stones throw of the coastal path and a pleasant stroll leads to the pretty coastal village of Bonchurch and onwards to Shanklin. Walks westwards take you through Ventnor to some picture-postcard coves and the Botanic Gardens.
Seahaze is a detached villa with accommodation on three floors. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens, two sitting rooms, plus a veranda where visitors can relax. This makes the property ideal for two families sharing. Stairs lead up to the front door which opens from the veranda on to the central floor of the house. Here, there is a fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and washing machine; a pleasant breakfast area; a bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC; an open plan sitting room furnished in a country house style with sofas and chairs and a dining area. This room has a flat screen television with DVD player and Hi Fi. It is a light room with open sea views and French doors opening on to the veranda.
Stairs lead up to two bedrooms with open sea views; one twin room and the master bedroom suite - a spacious room with a double bed, television and elegant sitting area with a sofa and attractive Victorian fireplace. The third bedroom is found down two sets of stairs from here on the ground floor of the property - a large bedroom with a double and a single bed; an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC which can also be accessed via the hall; a second sitting room with a television, Victorian style fireplace and sofa; a fitted kitchen equipped with a gas cooker and hob, refrigerator, sink and breakfast area. A freezer and washer dryer are also provided. French doors open from this kitchen on to a narrow courtyard with a garden table and chairs. A wooden cot and high chair can be provided in the master bedroom suite. We regret it is not possible to use the open fires.
Seahaze Villa has a walled garden at the front of the property with high hedges, two small areas of lawns and shrubberies. This is a wonderful place with a Mediterranean feel and meals can be enjoyed on the veranda whilst watching the sailing boats pass by. Cars can be parked in a quiet public car park less than a minutes walk from the property, which is time restricted. There is also restricted roadside parking nearby. The house is on a no-through lane with a footpath to the seafront only 200 yards away. General stores and a public house are within five minutes walk. Ventnor town centre is within a seven-minute walk, with regular bus service and a variety of shops, public houses and restaurants.
