Bembridge is renowned for its peaceful beaches and small harbour with sailing and fishing. The charming village centre is within a five-minute flat walk. Here, there is a variety of interesting shops and restaurants specialising in local produce and fish. Beaches are within a ten-minute walk. A small hotel with a restaurant and bar is within a two-minute walk.
Larkspur is a substantial house with a lovely enclosed garden. It has been furnished and equipped with care to a high standard making the house an attractive place to stay. On the ground floor there is a large open plan sitting room with comfortable sofas, armchairs, a good sized Smart television with DVD player and Freesat and a wood burner to relax in front of; a dining area with a table and chairs beside French doors which open on to the terrace; a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a range style cooker, microwave, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher and washing machine; a shower room with built in shower, basin and WC; a double bedroom with a king-size bed.
Stairs lead up to three additional bedrooms. Here there is another large double bedroom with a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes and a basin; a double room with views across the garden, and a spacious bedroom with a full-size single trundle bed and bunk beds (the bunk beds are suitable for children only), plus a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. There are wardrobes in all bedrooms.
Large wooden double gates open into the drive of Larkspur House where three to four cars can be parked and there is a garden area with a lawn and shrubbery. The rear garden has a terrace with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The terrace overlooks lawns and attractive shrubberies. Here visitors can relax and children have space to play games. There is a bus service within a two- minute walk. The resorts of St. Helens, Seaview, Ryde and Sandown are all within a five to ten-minute drive.
