This Grade II listed stone cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Corfe Castle; a village nestled amongst the Purbeck Hills and renowned for its castle ruins, thatched cottages, teashops and public houses. Honeypot Cottage is within a five-minute stroll of the village square. This is a wonderful walking area and visitors can walk directly from the cottage across the common to join footpaths to the nearby downs and to the coastal path - two miles away. This dramatic area of coastline extending from Swanage to Weymouth is part of the Jurassic Coast; England's first natural World Heritage Site The four miles of sandy beach at Studland are within a 15-minute drive and the seaside resort of Swanage is within a ten-minute drive. Here, swimming, paddling, fishing, boating and diving can be enjoyed. Swanage and Corfe Castle are linked by a steam railway which offers a real step back in time.

Honeypot Cottage is one of a terrace of stone cottages dating back to 1780. It has recently been skilfully renovated to retain the original features of wooden beams, flagstone floors and attractive windows and doors. It has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide charming accommodation for four people in two bedrooms which is centrally heated and has secondary glazing at the front of the property. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with two comfortable sofas, an open fire, flat screen television with DVD player and Freeview, an elegant dining room with a circular table and chairs; a fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A washing machine and freezer are also provided. There is also a ground floor WC with basin.

Narrow cottage stairs lead up to a beautiful double bedroom and a family bathroom which is newly equipped with bath, walk in shower, basin and WC. A doorway opens from the landing to fairly steep stairs which lead up to a spacious attic twin bedroom which extends across the length of the cottage and has attractive downland views in the distance. This room has a small en-suite shower room with restricted head room, equipped with a walk in shower, basin and WC. A travel cot and high chair can be made available. Central heating and electricity are without extra charge. A telephone and WiFi internet access is available

The cottage has a small enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage, and a lovely sun room with garden furniture. It is paved and has a gravel area which accommodates the garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. A garden gate offers direct access via a small pathway on to the Corfe Castle Common. Here, children can play games and this provides an attractive rural route to walk to the village centre. There is a small adventure play area for children within a five-minute walk. The cottage is situated on the main road which links Wareham and Swanage. Unallocated Off road parking is available for one car in front of the cottage. A regular bus service is within a few minutes walk.

Lovely location, with everything provided for a clean and comfy stay. Nice touches like a welcome scones and coffee, maps, games, bath, and plenty of kitchenware. Comprehensive info pack with great recommendations. Parking was easy, everything was clean and well maintained, nice summer house, all mod cons. We loved our home from home.

A lovely well positioned period cottage. Very well equipped. There is a lovely courtyard and summerhouse for days when the sun shines. In keeping with its age and in keeping with the character of the property the stairs are steep and narrow.

Fabulous walking location, you cold stay for 2 weeks and never repeat a route. Lovely house , warm comfortable and well equipped. Note the comments on the site re: steep stairs to the top bedroom, not a problem at all unless you weren't expecting them and the en suite might be a struggle for anyone tall.
