Self-catering holiday accommodation in Worth Matravers

Worth Matravers is a beautiful rural village on the Southern tip of Purbeck. With views of the sea and footpaths that run down to the rocky bay of Winspit and the coastal path, this village is an excellent location for a coastal holiday. Visit the little caves in the bay, home to a population of rare Dorset bats and if you can, walk from Winspit along the coastal path in the direction of Swanage where after a thirty-minute walk, you will find the bay at Dancing Ledge.

One of the main features along the Jurassic Coast, with its series of rock shelves leading down to a natural swimming pool, it is naturally refreshed with water at every tide. Back in the village, stone-built cottages dotted around a village green and duck pond will greet you as you drive in, as well as the historic church which is well worth a visit.

There is a village pub but it is slightly out of the village – a friendly atmosphere and traditional games and folk music should make this top of your to do list, and it is a great place to find out what is happening locally. You'll also find nearby several other inviting villages including Langton Matravers, Kingston and Acton.
