There is a very spacious sitting room, separate dining room and open plan kitchen with a further sitting area in front of a wood burning stove. The property is centrally heated and furnished and equipped to a high standard. Wifi internet available.

This lovely Elizabethan stone cottage enjoys an attractive position just on the edge of the charming purbeck village of Langton Matravers and within a few minutes drive of the seaside resort of Swanage with its wonderful sandy beach and traditional entertainments. The Cart House is very attractively situated on the 3000 acre Trigon Estate. It is one of three cottages in a small peaceful hamlet in a delightful rural area with walks directly from the house. Two golf courses and the RSPB site at Arne within 5 minutes drive. Sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage is within 10 miles. This property has, as its name suggests, been converted from the original cart house for the Trigon estate and it dates back to 1850. It is built with an attractive combination of brick and wood with lovely large windows. The Cart House has delightful gardens of almost an acre.

Swanage is renowned for its sandy beach and beautiful bay set amidst wonderful Purbeck countryside. This is part of the Jurassic coast and is a fantastic walking area. The coastal path, which is only 2 minutes walk away, leads westwards to the pretty Dorset villages of Langton & Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge and Lulworth.

Willow Cottage is attractively situated in Langton Matravers - a small village amidst the beautiful Purbeck Hills. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with easy access to the World Heritage coastline. Footpaths lead almost directly from the cottage to the coast near Dancing Ledge. Visitors also have direct access across National Trust fields to nearby woodland and can follow footpaths along the valley to the pretty village of Corfe Castle.

Lovely fishermans cottage located in the old part of Swanage within a one minute walk of the sea. Swanage is a small resort with a sandy beach which is ideal for paddling, swimming and boating. The cottage has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom plus a small courtyard garden and parking for one car.

The cottage is within a ten to 15 minute walk of the coastal path and from here visitors can walk westwards to Chapman's Pool, Kimmeridge and Lulworth or eastwards to Swanage and Studland. Renowned public house for local ciders within 5 minutes walk. Also attractive tea shop/supper room overlooking the pretty village duck pond. The historic village of Corfe Castle is within a 5 minute drive as is the sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage.

This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with footpaths and bridleways leading from close to the cottage to the coastal path which leads eastwards to Swanage and westwards to the attractive coastal villages of Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge and Lulworth. This nearby coastline is part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. Visitors also have direct access across surrounding farmland to nearby woodland and can follow footpaths along the valley to the pretty village of Corfe Castle with its castle ruins, thatched cottages, teashops and steam railway. Langton Matravers retains a real community atmosphere with a beautiful church, its own village shop and public house. The lovely sandy beach, shops and amusements of Swanage are a five minute drive away.
This lovely traditional stone cottage stands in a quiet gravel lane which leads to six or seven properties. Swift Cottage is at the centre of a small terrace and from the top floor of the property views can be enjoyed across the village to the downs and the sea at Swanage. The cottage has recently been renovated to provide very attractive and comfortable accommodation for 6 plus a child in 3 bedrooms. It is centrally heated and been furnished and equipped with care. On the ground floor there is a wonderfully spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area with a Purbeck stone tiled floor and under-floor heating. The charming dining area is beside a pretty window seat overlooking the garden; the kitchen is equipped with fitted oak units, a large range-style cooker with a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and ceramic sink. There is a similarly well-equipped utility area with an additional sink and washing machine. There is a cloak room with a WC and basin plus a separate sitting room with a large sofa and chairs, a wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. Stairs lead up to a spacious double bedroom with views across the garden and en-suite shower room with a built in shower, basin and WC; a delightful twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. Further stairs lead up to a third floor where there is a large twin bedroom which extends across the width of the cottage. It is from here that there are lovely views down the valley to the sea. Central heating and electricity are provided without extra charge. A folding bed can be provided for an additional child by agreement.
The cottage has a lovely fenced garden. A door opens from the kitchen onto an attractive patio area with garden furniture and a small number of steps lead up to a garden area where visitors can relax in the sunshine. A number of birds can be seen in the garden and there are boxes for swifts in the upper level of the cottage. There is private parking space for one car opposite the cottage. Within a few minutes walk there is a hourly bus service to Swanage, Corfe Castle, Wareham and Poole. Nearby places to visit include Swanage Steam railway, the ancient remains of Corfe Castle and the National Trust property of Kingston Lacy. Boating can be enjoyed on Wareham river and Swanage is renowned for its fishing trips and diving centre. Public house and village shop within 5 minutes walk.
Larger parties may be interested to know that the adjoining cottage can be rented in combination with Swift cottage to sleep an additional 5 or 6 people. An extension to the dining table is available in Swift Cottage to enable 12 people to eat together.
Swift Cottage is a non smoking cottage. Swift Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Friday to Friday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00.

Langton Matravers is a rural village with pretty stone cottages within a short walk of the sea on the Southern side of Purbeck in Dorset. This charming and traditional village has a historic church, attractive stone buildings and an excellent local public house which puts on local events including local music.
The coastline below Langton Matravers is well known for the dramatic landscape and abundance of wildlife. It is a popular spot with walkers who stop off while walking along the coastal path and some take the time to have a swim. There is a good local walk to Dancing Ledge where there is a man made swimming pool dug into the rocks.
It's for anyone who likes to live life adventurously - you don’t have to be a seasoned explorer to enjoy a Go Ape experience! Go Ape offers up to three hours of tree top fun. It’s a great way to get outdoors and have some fun. The Moors Valley GoApe Country Park is within a 40min drive of Purbeck and is a great day out for the whole family. goape.co.uk
The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsular of land located in the South of Dorset and is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The sea surrounds Purbeck on three sides and nowhere is for from the coast. Apart from the small town of Swanage, the Isle of Purbeck is made up of small rural hamlets and traditional villages.
The North side of Purbeck is dominated by a wooded and heathland nature reserve and where it meets the water of Poole Harbour it attracts a great deal of bird life. The East coast of Purbeck is known for the two long sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage but also for the limestone pillars at Old Harry's Rocks. Along the South Coast is the start of the Jurassic Coast which is characterised by impressive coastal formations like Dancing Ledge and Durdle Door but also for quiet coves and peaceful beaches for swimming.
Much of Purbeck has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the vast majority of Purbeck remains in the hands of nature. This is ideal for walkers and cyclists who are free to explore large areas of countryside and take in a number of wondrous locations.
