This lovely Elizabethan stone cottage enjoys an attractive position just on the edge of the charming purbeck village of Langton Matravers and within a few minutes drive of the seaside resort of Swanage with its wonderful sandy beach and traditional entertainments. Langton Matravers still retains its village shop/post office and has two good public houses for meals plus local beers and ciders within 5 minutes walk.

Central Villa is attractively situated in a small lane in the centre of the lovely seaside town of Swanage. The sea is less than a 2 minute walk away. Swanage is renowned for its sandy beach and beautiful bay set amidst wonderful Purbeck countryside. This is part of the Jurassic coast and is a fantastic walking area. The coastal path, which is only 2 minutes walk away, leads westwards to the pretty Dorset villages of Langton & Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge and Lulworth.

This delightful stone cottage stands in a quiet lane close to the centre of the picturesque village of Corfe Castle. The dramatic ruins of the castle provide a wonderful backdrop to the village and marvellous open views can be enjoyed from the hill on which it stands. This is a superb walking and cycling area - the village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the rolling Purbeck hills.

Priory Farm Cottage is a 'chocolate box' traditional thatched cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside and within a 10 minute drive of the sea at Lulworth. Here swimming, fishing trips, rib riides and the 'fossil forrest' can be enjoyed. There are also wonderful walks with the coast path extending westwards to Weymouth and eastwards to Studland. The cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard. There is a 'king size' master bedroom, a smaller double bedroom and a charming single room. Outside there is a lovely fenced garden with large lawns and a patio area for enjoying meals plus a play area for children.

Willow Cottage is attractively situated in Langton Matravers - a small village amidst the beautiful Purbeck Hills. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with easy access to the World Heritage coastline. Footpaths lead almost directly from the cottage to the coast near Dancing Ledge. Visitors also have direct access across National Trust fields to nearby woodland and can follow footpaths along the valley to the pretty village of Corfe Castle.

This lovely stone cottage stands in a quiet lane within a 3 minute walk of the central square of the picturesque village of Corfe Castle. Corfe is renowned for its dramatic and majestic castle which is protected by the National Trust. The wonderful sandy beach of Studland is within a 15 minute drive. Here there is a two mile stretch of sand where swimming, paddling and boating can be enjoyed. The more lively small resort of Swanage is also within a 15 minute drive where there is also a long sandy beach.

These views are panoramic, extending across the whole bay, from Ballard Down on the East to the westward extremity of Peveril point. The sandy beach of Swanage bay is only a half minute walk away. Cherry Tree Cottage is very attractively situated in the grounds of a larger property at the end of a quiet lane between Corfe Castle and the hamlet of Harman's Cross, in an ideal location for walking and cycling. It is surrounded by countryside and views of the rolling Purbeck Hills, with picturesque Corfe village and it's iconic castle accessible via a footpath from the property in about thirty minutes. The nearby villages of Worth Matravers and Langton Matravers are also accessible by foot, as is the Jurassic Coast. Nature lovers are a short drive from the RSPB reserve at Arne, and those keen to be by the seaside are five minutes drive from the small resort of Swanage and fifteen minutes from the four mile stretch of sandy beach at Studland.
Cherry Tree Cottage is all on one level, and provides very attractive and spacious accommodation. The front door opens into a hallway with hanging space for outdoor clothes, and a separate cloakroom with WC, basin and heated towel rail. There is a well equipped kitchen with fitted units and worktops, an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is also an adjoining utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and further space to store outdoor gear. The open plan living room links to the kitchen and is fully carpeted, with two comfortable sofas, one of which can be folded out into a double sofa bed for a third adult. This space is very welcoming and bright, with a wood burning stove and windows looking out onto the terrace, driveway and hills beyond. There is also a dining table and chairs positioned by French doors opening onto a small lawn area with a charming dove cote. A TV with FreeSat and DVD player is provided, along with some board games and books.
The attractive double bedroom is carpeted and accessed from the entrance hallway, offering guests plenty of storage space with fitted wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a dressing table overlooking the garden. A single folding bed for a child can be made available in the bedroom. A travel cot and high chair can also be provided. There is a tiled en suite with underfloor heating, corner shower cubicle, WC, basin and heated towel rail. WiFi internet is available without charge at Cherry Tree Cottage. It is generally of a good speed, but due to the rural location of the property, can be intermittent on occasions.
Cherry Tree Cottage has a small walled and gated courtyard with patio furniture and a barbecue so that meals can be enjoyed al fresco. Guests also have shared use of the owner's extensive grounds, which are laid to lawn with a small stream at the bottom of the garden. Here, the romantic sight of the local steam engine passing can be enjoyed, offering perfect photo opportunities. Accessed through an electric gate, there is a gravelled area with parking for two vehicles immediately outside the cottage, and lockable garage space where bikes and canoes can be stored when required.
Regular public transport, village store, traditional tea shops and public houses are situated in the nearby picturesque village of Corfe Castle. Local tourist attractions include Putlake Adventure Farm, Monkey World and Kingston Lacy, with Bournemouth town and beach, the New Forest and Weymouth all within a pleasant day trip's distance away.

Corfe Castle is a historic town at the heart of Purbeck. This pretty Dorset village is best know for the ruins of the 11th Century castle of Corfe Castle which sits above the village of the same name. The village has a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants and the surrounding countryside is well served with footpaths and cycle tracks.

Swanage Steam Railway - Corfe Castle is connected with the seaside town of Swanage by the Swanage Steam Railway. Walk to Swanage - There is a lovely hill top pathway running from Corfe Castle to Swanage. The walk starts on Sandy Hill Ln (under the railway bridge) where you follow signposts to up the hill to a view of Corfe Castle. Simply follow the ridge all the way to Ulwell from where you can follow the pavement into Swanage. The return journey can be done on the Steam Railway or walk back to enjoy the views in the other direction.

The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsular of land located in the South of Dorset and is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The sea surrounds Purbeck on three sides and nowhere is for from the coast. Apart from the small town of Swanage, the Isle of Purbeck is made up of small rural hamlets and traditional villages.
The North side of Purbeck is dominated by a wooded and heathland nature reserve and where it meets the water of Poole Harbour it attracts a great deal of bird life. The East coast of Purbeck is known for the two long sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage but also for the limestone pillars at Old Harry's Rocks. Along the South Coast is the start of the Jurassic Coast which is characterised by impressive coastal formations like Dancing Ledge and Durdle Door but also for quiet coves and peaceful beaches for swimming.
Much of Purbeck has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the vast majority of Purbeck remains in the hands of nature. This is ideal for walkers and cyclists who are free to explore large areas of countryside and take in a number of wondrous locations.
