This lovely Elizabethan stone cottage enjoys an attractive position just on the edge of the charming purbeck village of Langton Matravers and within a few minutes drive of the seaside resort of Swanage with its wonderful sandy beach and traditional entertainments. Langton Matravers still retains its village shop/post office and has two good public houses for meals plus local beers and ciders within 5 minutes walk.

There are wonderful rural views from the cottage and the large garden and terrace overlook the picturesque village of Corfe Castle which nestles below in the valley. These panoramic views extend across the valley to the downs. There is a good public house for meals within a few minutes walk and almost immediate access to some of the most wonderful walks in Purbeck. Great for both walking and cycling. The sandy beaches of Swanage are within a 10 minute drive. Bird watching is excellent at the RSPB site at Arne. Golf courses in nearby Studland and Wareham.

This lovely stone cottage is beautifully situated in the grounds of Afflington Manor – a superb manor house, mentioned in the Doomsdaybook, surrounded by beautiful gardens, lakes and farmland which is home to Alpachas, pedigree cows and sheep. The lakes in the grounds encourage a great deal of bird life. There are resident ducks and herons are frequent visitors.The cottage is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Corfe Castle.

The sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage is within a 10 minute drive. Alternatively the steam train, which runs from Corfe Castle to Swanage, offers a delightful way to travel. The sandy beach at Swanage is a 10 minute drive away and the cottage is only a 15 minute walk from the sea at Winspit. This beautiful area is part of the Jurassic Coast and is a wonderful walking and cycling area.

The farmland of the manor house extends to over 600 acres and visitors can walk across the nearby fields and follow footpaths to some of the loveliest villages of the Isle of Purbeck.

The historic village of Corfe Castle is within a 5 minute drive as is the sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage.
Central Villa is attractively situated in a small lane in the centre of the lovely seaside town of Swanage. The sea is less than a 2 minute walk away. Swanage is renowned for its sandy beach and beautiful bay set amidst wonderful Purbeck countryside. This is part of the Jurassic coast and is a fantastic walking area. Swanage has old fashioned seaside charm alongside a range of boating activities including wind surfing, water skiing, rowing, diving and sailing. Swanage is renowned for its steam railway, which links the town with the picturesque village of Corfe Castle.
Central Villa is at the end of a terrace of 4 properties. The villa has been furnished and equipped to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for 6 people in 4 bedrooms. It is centrally heated and furnished in a traditional style. On the ground floor there is a pleasant sitting room with a sofa and chairs, a television/Freeview/DVD player and visitors can relax in front of a real open fire. There is a dining area where meals can be enjoyed with French doors opening into the courtyard; a small galley style fitted kitchen opens off of the dining area and is equipped with a gas cooker, sink and washing machine. A microwave and fridge-freezer are provided adjacent to the kitchen. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a pretty twin bedroom; a single room; a bathroom with a small slipper bath, basin and WC plus a separate shower room with a built in shower, basin and WC. Further stairs lead up to the second floor where there is an attractive double room and a single bedroom. There are glimpses of the sea and the nearby Purbeck hills from this floor. A travel cot/high chair can be provided. Heating and electricity at no extra charge.
Central Villa has a courtyard style garden at the rear with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. This courtyard has attractive plants and pots. Within a 4 minute walk of the property is a good bus service to local villages as well as to the towns of Bournemouth and Poole. Swanage has a variety of small interesting shops as well as pleasant public houses and restaurants - all within a 2 minute walk. Visitors can park outside the property to unload and car parking is available in nearby roads within 5 minutes walk.
Central Villa is a non smoking cottage. Central Villa is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:30 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 18th February 2017 to 30th March 2017 and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Swanage is best known for its sandy beach and large bay. The beach is popular with swimmers and games in the gentle surf. With it's sandy beaches and pleasant climate it has been a popular seaside resort since Victorian times. Swanage is the starting point of spectacular walks along the Jurrasic coast, as well as inland country walks, situated as it is in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Swanage Steam Railway - Swanage is connected with the attractive village of Corfe Castle by the Swanage Steam Railway. The railway is now a popular attraction in its own right but can also be used as an effient means of transport between Swanage and Corfe Castle and can be incorporated in to a cicular walk along the Purbeck hills. www.swanagerailway.co.uk
Swanage Beach - The long sandy beach at Swanage is one of the principle destination on the Isle of Purbeck. The shallow bay at Swanage beach is idea for swimming and in the summer there are special events and activities for the family including a Punch and Judy show.
It's for anyone who likes to live life adventurously - you don’t have to be a seasoned explorer to enjoy a Go Ape experience! Go Ape offers up to three hours of tree top fun. The Isle of Purbeck is a peninsular of land located in the South of Dorset and is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The sea surrounds Purbeck on three sides and nowhere is for from the coast. Apart from the small town of Swanage, the Isle of Purbeck is made up of small rural hamlets and traditional villages.
The North side of Purbeck is dominated by a wooded and heathland nature reserve and where it meets the water of Poole Harbour it attracts a great deal of bird life. The East coast of Purbeck is known for the two long sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage but also for the limestone pillars at Old Harry's Rocks. Along the South Coast is the start of the Jurassic Coast which is characterised by impressive coastal formations like Dancing Ledge and Durdle Door but also for quiet coves and peaceful beaches for swimming.
Much of Purbeck has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the vast majority of Purbeck remains in the hands of nature. This is ideal for walkers and cyclists who are free to explore large areas of countryside and take in a number of wondrous locations.

Three small/medium or two large dogs are welcome and the back garden is walled. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. A puppy is welcome if past the chewing stage, fully housetrained and crated at night, but must not be left unattended in the property. Adult dogs can be left crated in the property as long as they are not noisy or destructive. We also ask owners not to allow their pets to foul the garden. Dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. Cats accepted by agreement.

Central Villas is a coastal town house built on 3 levels with kitchen and living space on the ground floor and bedrooms and bathrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
There is a lounge, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. A door from the dining room leads out into the garden/courtyard. Faily steep steps lead to the 1st floor where there is a bathroom and two twin rooms. The top floor above has a shower room and double bedroom.
