This lovely stone cottage is beautifully situated in wonderful countryside close to the picturesque village of Corfe Castle in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. It is approached by a private drive and stands in the grounds of Afflington Manor – a superb manor house mentioned in the Doomsday book. The farmland of the manor house extends to over 600 acres and visitors can walk across the nearby fields and follow footpaths to some of the loveliest villages of the Isle of Purbeck such as Kingston, Worth Matravers and Langton Matravers. The nearby Jurassic Coast with its wonderful coastal path is in an area renowned for its fossils, dramatic cliffs and small coves. Within 10 minutes drive of the cottage there is the small coastal resort of Swanage with its sandy beach and a variety of entertainments including Punch and Judy, swimming, boating and diving. A 15 minute drive takes you to Studland, a beautiful remote sandy peninsula with over 2 miles of sandy beach.
Claire L - Oct 10 - "The cottage was beautifully clean on arrival and the addition of freshly picked flowers from the garden was lovely. The beds were comfortable and the cottage a nice place to come back to after a day at the beach. The kitchen was equipped to a very high standard and we needed nothing in addition. We had a lovely holiday and were very impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage which is in a lovely peaceful location. The owners were friendly and clearly cared about the standard of the cottage."
