It is approached by a private drive and stands in the grounds of Afflington Manor – a superb manor house mentioned in the Doomsday book. Swanage, Dorset - Swanage is the principle holiday destination on the Isle of Purbeck and has a beautiful sandy beach. The little seaside town has many of the shops and services necessary for a self catering holiday. Swanage also makes an excellent base from which to walk the Purbeck Coastal Path. Studland, Dorset - Studland has a long and sandy beach which is excellent for bathing. The beach is backed by a wetland nature reserve which is god for walking and watching the birds and wildlife. The small village of Studland has a village pub and a small shop. A chain linked ferry takes you between Purbeck and Poole / Bournemouth. View Studland Cottages
Worth Matravers, Dorset - Worth Matravers is a small coastal village on the South side of Purbeck and within a short drive of Swanage. The village is best know for the small stone built cottages set around a picturesque village pond. Other attractions of the village are a historic church and an excellent public house.
