Corfe Castle is a beautiful rural village at the heart of Purbeck. The ruined Castle of Corfe Castle and the pretty traditional village centre are popular with visitors. The shops and public houses preserve the character of the village and provide good local food.
The village mostly consists of traditional houses built of Purbeck stone and with stone or thatched roofs. There are a number of original village features such as a village water pump which is located in the main square. The splendid village church is open to the public for most of the year.
