Freshwater Bay seen from the footpath to the South East of Freshwater Bay. This lovely stretch of coastline is a lovely walking area and there are a number of beaches to visit along the route. Walking down past Freshwater Bay below and up on the Downs behind takes you to Tennyson Monument and then the Needles.

This delightful Grade II listed stone cottage has been sympathetically converted from the former stables of the nearby Apse Manor. Groom Cottage is a large property with thick stone walls, wooden beams and an attractive appearance with four gables. It nestles within an enclosed courtyard approached through a lovely arched entrance.
