We have been established for over 16 years and specialise in cottages on the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Purbeck. We are always interested in acquiring additional quality properties. At present we organise holidays at over 75 individually owned properties. These vary in size from small cottages for two, to large farmhouses for 12 people.
We advertise widely in order to achieve the highest number of bookings and we concentrate on providing accommodation of a high standard which encourages a high proportion of return visitors. Our advertising is directed towards couples and families looking for quality properties, in attractive surroundings, both rural and coastal. All of our cottages are graded for quality by the tourist board. We can advise you about the requirements of the tourist board assessments and will arrange for these assessments to be carried out at a preferential price. We usually accompany the tourist board officers on their visits.
We are successful in attracting visitors who are not only interested in beach holidays in the summer months, but also visitors who enjoy activities such as walking, bird watching, cycling and boating during the spring and autumn. Many visitors are also interested in properties for Christmas in New Year. We usually achieve holiday bookings in excess of 25 weeks per year. If owners wish we also arrange longer term bookings over the winter period. We particularly deal with guests working on the island for short periods; those house hunting or waiting for their own property to have building work completed..
In addition to our web site we have a printed colour brochure and we are always happy to send you a copy. In our brochure each cottage is given its own individual page and up to 4 photographs. We will take all the photographs for you for both our web site and brochure. We also draft out a description of your property for us both to agree. We try to assist visitors in making their choice of cottage by providing tables so that they can easily assess what is provided in each cottage e.g cots, extra beds, dishwashers, DVD’s, telephones. We also provide information so that visitors can easily define cottages in certain locations and know if pets, dogs, babies, young children and smoking is permitted.
At all times we do our upmost to try to ensure that we only rent your cottage to visitors who are going to respect and look after it. This means that we do go to some trouble to ensure that the makeup of the holiday party is suitable. We also hold security bonds which are held against damage and extra cleaning so that you can be recompensed in the rare circumstance of problems arising.
We can offer you advice about obtaining public liability insurance, landlords gas certificates, fire risk assessments, electrical safety tests and the requirements of the tourist board.
We book ferries to the Isle of Wight with both Wightlink and Red Funnel and we are able to offer these ferry bookings at preferential prices to visitors when they rent a cottage. (more information about ferry booking)
Visitors make all payments for holidays in advance and cottage owners are paid the deposits and balances for holidays as they are received on a monthly basis.
