Self-catering holiday accommodation in Shanklin

The popular coastal town of Shanklin on the South East of the Isle of Wight is home to a long sandy beach and historic town centre, making it popular with visitors from all across the globe. The picturesque Old Town is a must-see, with its quaint thatched cottages and pretty tea rooms, especially the quirky Pencil Cottage Tea Garden.

The Shanklin Esplanade gives a traditional seaside feel with its seaside games, amusements and shops and there lots of activities to fill your days with, including a trip to the famous gorge, Shanklin Chine. Conveniently situated on the coastal path, there are lovely walks to the south to Bonchurch, Ventnor and St. Lawrence and all offer breath-taking views along the way.

Alternatively, you can take the coast road for a day trip to neighbouring beaches and bays. For those who want to sit quietly and enjoy the stunning sea views, there are a variety of small parks and gardens in and around the town which are a haven of tranquillity for those wishing to get away from the crowds.
