Spring Cottage stands in an idyllic location, within a 2 minute walk of the beach in the pretty seaside village of Bonchurch on the south east coast of the Island. The cottage enjoys beautiful sea views from most rooms and from its enchanting garden. Bonchurch is a peaceful village with a small shop, public house, good restaurant and two ancient churches plus a pretty pond which is home to carp, ducks and a variety of birds.

This charming, Grade II listed cottage, is only a short drive from the sandy beach of Shanklin. It is peacefully situated in a quiet leafy hamlet in beautiful countryside, only 1.5 miles from the centre of the small seaside resort of Shanklin, on the east coast of the Isle of Wight. Shanklin has a lovely sandy beach which gently slopes into the water, a variety of restaurants, small shops and traditional seaside entertainments. The cottage has a lovely large sunny garden and is in a wonderful cycling and walking area. Footpaths and bridleways lead from close to the cottage to the coast at Shanklin and there is a particularly delightful walk across fields and downs to Ventnor offering panoramic views across Sandown Bay. The pretty village of Godshill is within a 5 minute drive and here there is good public house for meals, teashops and a hill top church.

In the centre of the small rural village of Shorwell on the south west of the island and is only a 5 minute drive from a quiet beach at Brighstone. The cottage stands adjacent to a beautiful 11th century church. A pleasant old public house with a large duck pond is within a 1 minute walk and Shorwell still has its own village shop. There are a variety of small sandy coves within a short drive where visitors can enjoy swimming, paddling, boating and fishing.

Lovely thatched, stone cottage, on the west side of the Isle of Wight within a 10 minute walk of the sea and within a very short drive of Yarmouth and the bays of Colwell and Totland. The cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard to provide very comfortable accommodation for 9 people in 5 bedrooms and 3 bath/shower rooms. Two separate sitting room areas and delightful fitted kitchen. Sunny garden and parking for 3/4 cars. Wonderful walks along the coastal path and nearby Tennyson Down.

This delightful stone cottage which dates back to 1761 is built of Isle of Wight chalk and brick. It is situated in lovely countryside on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive.

Greenside is very pleasantly situated in a quiet, prestigious residential area of Cowes. There are open views from the rear of the house across the golf course. It is less than half a mile from the beach at Gurnard. The centre of Cowes is a 15-minute walk from the house.

Driftwood is within a three minute walk of the beach at Brighstone on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight – a quiet beach where swimming and paddling can be enjoyed. This is “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty“ and a delightful walking area. Driftwood is attractively situated in a small courtyard of cottages. There are coastal or lovely downland views from most of the rooms. It has been furnished and equipped with care to provide lovely accommodation Wifi and telephone available.

This wonderful property is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful countryside. It has recently been converted from a large old granary, the foundations of which date back to the 1700s. A fire in 1889 resulted in much of it being rebuilt. Redway Manor Granary has been renovated with the greatest care and wherever possible original features have been retained. There are beautiful views across the fields and nearby lakes to the downs. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive.

High Rising is situated within a few minutes walk of the sea at Gurnard. Here there is a quiet beach where visitors can enjoy paddling swimming and boating. A pleasant café and nearby public house provide refreshments. There is easy access to the west side of the Island with its quiet sandy coves and the nearby National Nature reserve of Newtown – an area of outstanding Natural Beauty and a wonderful area for walking and bird watching.
Western Lines is beautifully situated with panoramic coastal views from almost every room and direct access from the garden to a coastal path accessing the beach - less than a 5 minute walk away. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the south east coast of the Island, an area renowned for its mild climate. The house stands just above the charming small fishing village of Steep Hill Cove, a place often written about in magazines due to its wonderful simplicity and tranquility plus its excellent fish restaurant and cafe where meals can be enjoyed in the summer whilst watching children playing in the rock pools and swimming in the sea which is only a stones throw away. The fact that this lovely cove can only be accessed by foot only adds to its attraction. The pleasant small seaside resort of Ventnor is within an enjoyable 20 minute walk of the house and the larger seaside resorts of Sandown and Shanklin are only a 10 minute drive away. Here there are long sandy beaches which gently slope into the water, children's play parks and a variety of more lively entertainments.
Western lines is a lovely secluded, detached property with spacious, light and airy rooms. In order to take full advantage of the beautiful sea views the main living accommodation is upstairs. Here there is an open plan room with a newly equipped fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. (A washing machine is provided in a separate area). There is a sitting area, with large picture windows overlooking the sea, furnished with a sofa and chairs plus a television, FreeSat & DVD player. A telephone and WiFi internet are also provided. A glazed door opens from the sitting room on to a large balcony where visitors can relax in the sunshine and enjoy meals whilst watching the boats.
On this upper floor there is also a double bedroom with an en-suite, newly equipped bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, W.C. and basin. On the ground floor there are three further spacious bedrooms, one double room and two twin rooms. A travel cot and high chair can be provided if required. There is a W.C. on this floor and a separate shower room with a built in shower and basin. Central heating and electricity are provided without extra charge. The house has been furnished and equipped with care to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for eight people in a truly wonderful location.
The house has a charming garden with lawns and shrubs. There is a fenced area with a lawn where visitors can relax and children can play games. To the side of the house a few steps lead to a lower lawn with garden furniture. Two cars can be parked in the drive at the front of the house. Western Lines is within a 5 minute stroll of Ventnor Botanical Garden where there is a cafe for light meals and teas. Even closer is the cricket pavilion where a drink can be enjoyed at the bar overlooking the green. Public transport and shops are within a 20 minutes walk.
There are nearby historic sites to be enjoyed such as Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House - the Island home of Queen Victoria; entertainments for children at the seaside resorts plus Blackgang Adventure Park, Robin Hill, Amazon Adventure; sailing and boating activities; the steam railway; fishing lakes at Whitwell; golf courses at Freshwater, Sandown and Cowes; good restaurants with AA rosettes at Ventnor, Bonchurch, Yarmouth and Seaview.
Western Lines is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Western Lines. Western Lines is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

St Lawrence is a seaside village just outside of Ventnor on the South East of the Isle of Wight. The village has great access to the sea via the coastal path. Nearby bays of include Steephill Cove which has a pretty beach as well as a cafe and a restaurant.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.

Western Lines is a four-bedroomed detached property, built in the 1970’s and which overlooks Steephill Cove. Western Lines is located in a secluded position near to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens. It is accessed from Steephill Road via a private lane and a sloping concrete driveway. The property is not particularly suited to those using a wheelchair due to the lounge and kitchen being situated on the first floor. It is however suited to anyone able to climb one flight of stairs.

Western Lines is situated in a rural location overlooking Steephill Cove. The nearest town of Ventnor is 1 mile away and has a post office, supermarket, pubs, cafes,
restaurants and many small local shops, as well as accessible taxis there.

Western Lines is situated along a private lane around 150m long, which is unmade up in areas. The width of the lane varies between 2m-3.5m and it has a small turning area. There is a sloped concrete drive from the lane to the front of the property. The property is situated in a secluded rural location.
There is parking for three cars in the driveway. The concrete surface is firm, level and gently sloping.
Entrance to Property
There is one entrance to the property. Access into the property is from the driveway and up two steps 190mm high.The floor covering inside the entrance is short pile carpet.

Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways
The entrance hall on the ground floor has short pile fitted carpet. The dog leg stairs lead from the entrance hall to the first floor. There are 13 carpetted steps, 190mm high with 230mm treads. The landing to the first floor also has short pile fitted carpet. There is level access inside the property on each floor.
The first floor sitting room is furnished with one 2-seater sofa (1300mm wide), 2 single chairs (each 600mm wide),
2 easy chairs (450mm wide) and a rocking chair (420mm wide). There is a flat screen TV, DVD and FreeSat all with remote controls. Flooring is cork effect tiles. There is a door from the kitchen onto the balcony, with one step 120mm down. The balcony area is paved.
The kitchen/dining room is situated on the first floor. There is a table seating eight, 780mm high. The worktops are 930mm high (with no clearance underneath to the sink or worktops). There is a front opening cooker, a front opening dishwasher, and a fridge freezer (fridge section above). Flooring is cork effect tiles. There is a door from the kitchen onto the balcony, with one step 120mm down. The balcony area is paved.
Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas
There are four bedrooms within the property, three located on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
Bedroom 1 (ground floor) has a double bed 500mm high. There is around 0.5m space to the right hand side, and 0.8m space to the left hand side, and the bed is moveable. There is no under-bed space. Furniture in this room includes two bedside cabinets (630mm high), and a dressing table (690mm high). There is a cupboard with double doors, with hanging space and a shelf above to store clothes. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 2 (twin bedroom, ground floor) has twin beds 570mm high, with 0.8m space between the beds. There is 280mm under-bed space. Furniture in this room includes one bedside cabinet (680mm high). There is one cupboard with hanging space and a shelf above. There
is 0.5m space between the door and the bed. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 3 (ground floor twin bedroom) has twin beds 570mm high, with 0.8m space between the beds. There is 280mm under-bed space. Furniture in this room includes one bedside cabinet (680mm high). There is one cupboard with hanging space and a shelf above. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet.
Bedroom 4 (first floor Master bedroom) has a double bed 600mm high with no under bed space. There is around 0.5m space either side of the bed. There are two bedside cabinets (630mm high). There is one cupboard with hanging space and a shelf above. Flooring is short pile fitted carpet. There is an en-suite bathroom leading from this room.
Bathrooms, Shower-rooms and Toilets
There is a w.c. (460mm high) and wash hand basin (820mm high) to the ground floor. There is no space for lateral wheelchair transfer. The flooring is lino.
There is a separate shower-room with wash hand basin on the ground floor. The shower is 700x700mm with a 110mm lip. The flooring is lino.
There is an en-suite bathroom to Bedroom 4 on the first floor. Flooring is slate tiles. There is a bath 550mm high, with an over-bath shower (attached to the taps), a wash hand basin (840mm high) and a toilet (440mm high). There is no space for lateral wheelchair transfer.
Grounds and Gardens
Access to the rear of the property is via a narrow paved path leading around the side of the house. There is a lawned area at the side and rear of the property with garden furniture.
There is an integral garage at the property in which the washing machine and boiler are situated.
