This lovely wing of Fowlsdown Farmhouse is completely self contained and offers very attractive accommodation of a high standard. The accommodation is largely open plan with an attractive sitting room area with a sofa, arm chair, flat screen television with freeview; a lovely dining area beside a window; a fitted kitchen with a tiled floor, an electric cooker and hob, microwave, refrigerator and small freezer (24 hour washing service available); a charming bedroom with a king size bed and fitted wardrobe with curtains to separate it from the living area; a well equipped tiled bathroom with a bath, over head shower, basin and WC. At the rear of the cottage is a small sunny fenced courtyard with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. The property is within a 5 minute drive of the coastal resort of Shanklin with its lovely sandy beach. The picturesque village of Godshill is also nearby - with its thatched cottages, lovely church, tea shops, public houses and restaurant. This is also a wonderful walking and cycling area. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.
This pretty stone cottage is attractively situated in a quiet lane in the delightful coastal hamlet of St Lawrence, on the South East coast of the Island. There are several lovely quiet coves nearby - Steephill Cove is perhaps the favourite. The beach and coastal resort of Ventnor is within a 5 minute drive. Here swimming, paddling, fishing and a variety of entertainments can be enjoyed. There are a number of small shops, public houses and good places to eat including a Mitchelin Star restaurant. The larger beaches of Shanklin and Sandown are within a 10 to 15 minute drive and there is also easy access to the south west side of the island - another area of beautiful coastline and also a wonderful walking area. The rocky beach of Woody Bay is within an 8 minute walk of the cottage.
Vestry Cottage dates back to the 15th Century and is a Grade 11 listed building standing in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a delightful, small stone semi detached, cottage providing attractive and comfortable accommodation for 3 people in 2 bedrooms. It has been furnished and equipped with great care and many wonderful original features have been retained - including wooden beams, the beautiful doorway, and pretty windows. The accommodation is all on one level. There is an open plan fitted kitchen which has been newly equipped. This has lovely hard wood work tops, a Belfast sink, cooker, induction hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge freezer. There is small dining area in the kitchen and a separate sitting room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, a flat screen TV with a DVD player and Sky, as well as an attractive wood burning stove. This room is particularly attractive with a beamed ceiling and wooden shutters on the windows. There is a shower room equipped with a built in shower, basin and WC; two pretty bedrooms - one double room and one single room with a shorter bed suitable for a child - 6ft in length. A travel cot and high chair can be provided. Central heating and electricity at no extra charge. WiFi internet available.
The cottage has a pretty English Country style garden which is largely paved and is walled, paved and gated. It does have a small pond so children do need to be closely supervised at all times. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The sea can be glimpsed from the drive where there is parking for one car. An additional car could be parked in the quiet lane. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, The Isle of Wight Glass Studio, St Catherines Lighthouse and Blackgang Adventure Park.
Vestry Cottage has ground floor accommodation and is a non smoking cottage. WiFi Internet is provided free of charge at Vestry Cottage. Vestry Cottage is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 16:00 and the normal departure time is 11:30.

The beach at Ventnor is popular with holiday visitors and locals alike due to the gently sloping sand and fine shingle beach and pleasant water for swimming. The little town boasts a good variety of shops and restaurants as well as an excellent wine bar on the seafront. St Lawrence is a seaside village just outside of Ventnor on the South East of the Isle of Wight. The village has great access to the sea via the coastal path. Nearby bays of include Steephill Cove which has a pretty beach as well as a cafe and a restaurant.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.

Two dogs are welcome and the back garden is walled. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We also ask owners not to leave dogs on their own in the cottage and not to allow them to foul the garden. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date.
