Sea Whisper is a semi detached property standing within a 7 minute walk of the sandy beach of Shanklin - a lovely bay with sand gently sloping into the water. The property is also within a 5 minute walk of the small shops, restaurants, public houses and entertainments of the resort and the pretty Old Village of Shanklin with its thatched cottages and beautiful Chine. Visitors can walk down to the sea or take a lift from the cliff top. There are views across the town with glimpses of the sea and Culver Cliffs from several of the rooms and from the charming balconies which can be accessed from the sitting room and twin bedroom. There is also a sunny terrace at the rear of the property with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The property has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and offers delightful accommodation.

This lovely stone cottage nestles in beautiful countryside on an attractive farm on the East side of the Island. There are wonderful open views from the cottage and garden across fields towards the downs. The Brew House is at the end of a country lane with no passing traffic. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading along the course of the River Yar and to the nearby picturesque village of Godshill. There is direct access across the fields to the cycle track which links Sandown to Newport and Cowes. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are only a 15 minute drive away. Ferries can be booked for you at greatly discounted prices.

This picturesque Grade II listed cottage dates back to 1676 and is attractively situated at the end of a quiet lane with a lovely ford and footpath leading to the nearby medieval castle of Carisbrooke. Located in the oldest part of Carisbrooke village which is a conservation area lying within ‘An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The castle is only 5 minutes walk away and can be glimpsed from the garden and main bedrooms. This is a wonderful walking area as within 5 minutes walk of the cottage visitors can join the famous Tennyson Trail which follows the downs westerly towards The Needles.

Dairy Cottage is an attractive stone cottage enjoying rural views and with glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle from the master bedroom. The castle is within a 15 minute walk. The cottage is located at the heart of the Isle of Wight and within a short drive of the coast in any direction. Local walks follow the top of the Downs as far as Freshwater and Alum Bay and enjoy wonderful views all along the way.

This lovely stone cottage was originally a large and ancient stone barn at Sainham Farm. It is situated in the attractive courtyard and has marvellous open views from the rear across the fields to the downs. Stag Cottage is in one of the loveliest parts of the Island lying at the foot of Appuldurcome Down and above the picturesque village of Godshill in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Godshill can be reached by taking a pleasant stroll through the beech copse and across the fields. The village has a variety of tea shops and restaurants as well as two public houses.
This pretty stone cottage is situated on a lovely 12 acre farm with horses, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Delightful walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage and footpaths can be followed to join the Bembridge Trail over the downs. The lovely quiet rural village of Newchurch, which has a good public house for meals, is only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive.
Squire Thatcher’s Barn, which adjoins Paper Barn, has been carefully converted from an 18th Century Grade II Listed stone barn. It overlooks a lovely large open grassy courtyard which is often adorned by ducks. Stables are on two side of the courtyard, and an ancient threshing barn and farmhouse are on the other side. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms with three bath/shower rooms.The cottage has been furnished and equipped with care. Squire Thatcher’s Barn has a lovely light and spacious open-plan sitting room with comfortable sofas, television/Freeview/DVD/ video recorder and a hi-fi system. There is a pleasant dining area by a window with lovely views across fields towards the downs. The fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are also provided. The cottage has three pretty bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a twin and a double room; a bathroom with a bath, basin and WC, plus a separate sunken shower room with WC. A spiral staircase leads up to an additional attractive double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The cottage is warmed with a combination of storage heaters and electric heaters. Heating and electricity are free of charge. A travel cot/high chair can be made available. The cottage has a wireless broadband internet (WiFi) connection available.
At the rear of the cottage there is a lovely fenced garden with wonderful open views across fields to Arreton and Mersley Downs. There is an attractive terrace with garden furniture, a lawned area and a barbecue area. A barbecue can be made available free of charge on request. Two cars can be parked in the drive at the rear of the cottage. Rural bus service ¼ miles. Access to the cottage is along a bridleway and private lane which is bumpy in places. Nearby places to visit include Amazon Adventure, The Garlic Farm, The Roman Villa, Carisbrooke Castle and Havenstreet Steam Railway.

Squire Thatchers Barn is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Newchurch is a quiet rural village with a beautiful church, excellent local public house and surrounded by beautiful countryside ideal for walking and cycling. Newchurch is a short distance from the East coast where there are sandy beaches. Shanklin and Sandown can be reached via the cycle path or can be reached by car in just a few minutes.

Local nature reserve - Alverstone Mead and the SSSI of Alverstone Marshes are within a short walk of Borthwood. Join the cycle track at Alverstone and head towards Sandown. You will cross the reserve along the way.

Squire Thatcher's Barn is a grade 2 listed building of great charm and historic interest. Probably built in around 1790 as part of a traditional square farm courtyard. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs and one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Access to the first floor is via a spiral staircase.
