The Manor House is surrounded by lovely gardens which the cottage overlooks. Bridgecourt Manor Cottage is a stone cottage, converted from an ancient forge which dates back to the 1600’s. It provides attractive and comfortable accommodation for 5 people in 3 bedrooms.

Within 3 minutes of Shanklin's sandy beach - ideal for paddling and swimming. It is only a 2 minute walk from the lodge to the cliff path for beautiful views across Sandown Bay to the white cliff of Culver. Shanklin is a pleasant small resort on the south east coast of the Island with its own small theatre and a variety of interesting shops and restaurants. The Old Village of Shanklin has pretty thatched cottages, tea shops and public houses plus a beautiful chine, floodlit in the evening.

Shiloh is a Grade II listed barn which has been converted into a lovely 2 bedroom, single storey, cottage. It is situated in delightful countryside between the villages of Godshill and Whitwell and is only a 5 minute drive from the coast. The seaside resort of Ventnor is 5 km away and the sandy beaches of Shankllin and Ventnor are within a 10 to 15 minute drive. This is a wonderful walking and cycling area with direct access to a network of footpaths including a wonderful walk along the River Yar which extends from its source in Niton on the south coast to Bembridge, with its beautiful wetland area in the east. The cottage has a secure fenced garden and is well equipped.

This delightful stone cottage which dates back to 1761 is built of Isle of Wight chalk and brick. It is situated in lovely countryside on an attractive farm at Merstone. The picturesque village of Godshill is nearby and the sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive.

Dairy Cottage is an attractive stone cottage enjoying rural views and with glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle from the master bedroom. The castle is within a 15 minute walk. The cottage is located at the heart of the Isle of Wight and within a short drive of the coast in any direction. Local walks follow the top of the Downs as far as Freshwater and Alum Bay and enjoy wonderful views all along the way.

It has a spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove, a separate dining room and a fitted kitchen equipped with a electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is a ground floor shower room with a w.c. and a bathroom with basin w.c. upstairs. Lovely large garden with garden furniture and a trampoline for children. Parking for one car.

Mead Cottage is attractively situated on a 12 acre farm on the edge of the small rural hamlet of Alverstone in “An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. This is a wonderful position for outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, fishing and golf. In the village there are lovely water meadows and fishing ponds with hides for bird and red squirrel watching. There are many footpaths leading up on to the downs and towards the coast.

Sea Whisper is a semi detached property standing within a 7 minute walk of the sandy beach of Shanklin - a lovely bay with sand gently sloping into the water. The property is also within a 5 minute walk of the small shops, restaurants, public houses and entertainments of the resort and the pretty Old Village of Shanklin with its thatched cottages and beautiful Chine. Visitors can walk down to the sea or take a lift from the cliff top. There are views across the town with glimpses of the sea and Culver Cliffs from several of the rooms and from the charming balconies which can be accessed from the sitting room and twin bedroom. There is also a sunny terrace at the rear of the property with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed in the sunshine. The property has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and offers delightful accommodation.
This pretty stone cottage is situated on a lovely 12 acre farm with horses, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Delightful walks can be enjoyed directly from the cottage and footpaths can be followed to join the Bembridge Trail over the downs. The lovely quiet rural village of Newchurch, which has a good public house for meals, is only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive.
Squire Thatcher’s Barn has been carefully converted from an 18th Century Grade II Listed stone barn. It overlooks a lovely open grassy courtyard which is often adorned by ducks. Nearby there is the farmhouse and a small number of stables where horses are kept. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms with three bath/shower rooms..The cottage has been furnished to a high standard and equipped with care. Squire Thatchers’s Barn has a lovely light and spacious open-plan sitting room with comfortable sofas, television/Freeview/DVD/ video recorder and a hi-fi system. There is a pleasant dining area by a window with lovely views across fields towards the downs. The fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are also provided. The cottage has three pretty bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a twin and a double room; a bathroom with a bath, basin and W.C., plus a separate sunken shower room with W.C. A spiral stair case leads up to an additional attractive double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The cottage is warmed with a combination of storage heaters and electric heaters. Heating and electricity free of charge. A travel cot/high chair can be made available. The cottage has a wireless broadband internet (WiFi) connection available.
At the rear of the cottage there is a lovely fenced garden with wonderful open views across fields to the downs. There is an attractive terrace, a lawned area and a barbecue area with garden furniture so that meals can be enjoyed outside. Two cars can be parked in the drive at the rear of the cottage. Rural bus service ¼ miles. Access to the cottage is along a gravel lane which is bumpy in places and not suitable for low slung vehicles. Grazing and livery for horses available at an extra charge. Nearby places to visit include Amazon Adventure, The Garlic Farm, The Roman Villa, Carisbrooke Castle and Havenstreet Steam Railway.

Squire Thatchers Barn is available for weekly self catering holiday bookings from Saturday to Saturday. The normal arrival time at this holiday cottage is 15:00 and the normal departure time is 10:00. Short break weekend and midweek self catering holidays are available from 18th February 2017 to 30th March 2017 and 28th October 2017 to 17th December 2017.

Newchurch is a quiet rural village with a beautiful church, excellent local public house and surrounded by beautiful countryside ideal for walking and cycling. Newchurch is a short distance from the East coast where there are sandy beaches. Shanklin and Sandown can be reached via the cycle path or can be reached by car in just a few minutes.

You can easily cycle to the beach at Sandown or head inland towards Newport where there are routes peeling off to Godshill, Wroxall, Cowes and most of the rest of the Isle of Wight. Local nature reserve - Alverstone Mead and the SSSI of Alverstone Marshes are within a short walk of Borthwood. Join the cycle track at Alverstone and head towards Sandown. You will cross the reserve along the way.

Squire Thatcher's Barn is a grade 2 listed building of great charm and historic interest. Probably built in around 1700 (but possibly considerably earlier as part of the Quarr Abbey pre reformation farm holdings on the Isle of Wight) as part of a traditional square farm courtyard. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs and one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Access to the first floor is via a spiral staircase.
