This charming, Grade II listed cottage, is only a short drive from the sandy beach of Shanklin. It is peacefully situated in a quiet leafy hamlet in beautiful countryside, only 1.5 miles from the centre of the small seaside resort of Shanklin, on the east coast of the Isle of Wight. Shanklin has a lovely sandy beach which gently slopes into the water, a variety of restaurants, small shops and traditional seaside entertainments. The cottage has a lovely large sunny garden and is in a wonderful cycling and walking area. Footpaths and bridleways lead from close to the cottage to the coast at Shanklin and there is a particularly delightful walk across fields and downs to Ventnor offering panoramic views across Sandown Bay. The pretty village of Godshill is within a 5 minute drive and here there is good public house for meals, teashops and a hill top church.

This farmhouse is attractively situated on the edge of the pretty village of Shalfleet towards the West side of the Isle of Wight. The cottage adjoins the grounds of Shalfleet Manor House and has its own private entrance into a quiet lane which leads from the village to a footpath on Newtown Creek. This estuary, which is only a few minutes walk from the farmhouse, is part of a National Nature Reserve and is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Several secluded bays and beaches are within 10 minutes drive.

Seahaze is a lovely detached villa with accommodation on three floors. It has been furnished and equipped with care to provide very attractive accommodation. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens, two sitting rooms plus a beautiful veranda where visitors can relax. This makes the property ideal for two families sharing. The front door opens from the veranda on to the central floor of the house. Here there is a fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and washing machine; a pleasant breakfast area; a well-equipped bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC; a beautiful open plan sitting room furnished in a delightful country house style with comfortable sofas and chairs and a pretty dining area. This room has a large flat screen television, DVD player and Hi Fi. It is a light room with open sea views and French doors opening on to the veranda. Stairs lead up to two bedrooms with open sea views– one twin room and the lovely master bedroom suite - a spacious room with a double bed, television and elegant sitting area with a sofa and attractive Victorian fire place. The third bedroom is on the ground floor of the property - a large pleasant bedroom with a double and a single bed; an en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath, built in shower, basin and WC which can also be accessed via the hall; a second sitting room with a television, Victorian style fireplace and double sofa bed; a small fitted kitchen equipped with a second gas cooker and hob, refrigerator, sink and breakfast area. A freezer and washer dryer are also provided. French doors open from this kitchen on to narrow courtyard with a garden table and chairs. A wooden cot/high chair can be provided in the master bedroom suite. Two additional guests can be accommodated on the sofa beds in the ground floor sitting room or there is a bed which can be provided for a child in the master bedroom. Central heating/electricity at no extra charge. We regret it is not possible to use the open fires. The cottage has a WiFi connection which can be made available and a telephone for incoming calls.
Seahaze Villa has a delightful secluded walled garden at the front of the property with high hedges, two small areas of lawns and shrubberies. This is a wonderful place with a Mediterranean feel and meals can be enjoyed on the veranda whilst watching the sailing boats pass by. Cars can be parked in a quiet public car park less than a minutes walk from the property. The house is on a no through lane with a footpath to the seafront only 200 yards away. General stores and public house within 5 minutes walk. Ventnor town centre is within a 7 minute walk with regular bus service and a variety of shops, public houses and restaurants.

The South of the Isle of Wight is a wonderful mix of pretty beaches and dramatic coastal landscape. The sand and shingle beach at Ventnor is one of the more popular holiday locations but hidden gems such as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove are really worth a visit too.
The coastal path around the South Coast of the Isle of Wight is a particularly beautiful stretch to explore and passes a number of attractive sites which include Steephill Cove, Orchard Bay and St Catherine's Light House at Niton Undercliff. Some of this area has been prone to erosion so you must stick to the footpath and take heed of diversions.

Seahaze Villa is a detached, period property dating back to the mid 19th century when the area was first developed by the Victorians. Extensive rebuilding, modernisation and improvements were recently completed with new furnishings throughout.
