This wonderful property is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful countryside. It has recently been converted from a large old granary, the foundations of which date back to the 1700s. A fire in 1889 resulted in much of it being rebuilt. Redway Manor Granary has been renovated with the greatest care and wherever possible original features have been retained. There are beautiful views across the fields and nearby lakes to the downs. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive. This wonderful property is situated on a lovely farm in beautiful countryside. It has recently been converted from a large old granary, the foundations of which date back to the 1700s. A fire in 1889 resulted in much of it being rebuilt. Redway Manor Granary has been renovated with the greatest care and wherever possible original features have been retained. There are beautiful views across the fields and nearby lakes to the downs. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading along the course of the River Yar and to the nearby picturesque village of Godshill. Visitors are free to stroll across the fields of the farm and around the lovely lake in the grounds of the Manor House. There is an open grassland area near the lakes with open views where barbecues can be enjoyed.

There is a lovely nature trail on the farm so that visitors can enjoy the wonderful range of wild life – this includes herons, ducks and geese on the lakes; swallows and kestrels often nest in the barns; pheasants, foxes and badgers plus rabbits which abound. A small herd of cows is kept on the farm and there is a delightful area for children with small rare-breed bagot goats that will eat from the hand and rescued hens which are now free-range. From the cottage there is direct access across the fields to the cycle track which links Sandown to Newport and Cowes. Arrangements can be made for the storage of bikes. The sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 15 minute drive.

The Granary is an unusually spacious property. It is centrally heated and has been equipped to a very high standard in a traditional style. The Granary has a wonderful open plan sitting room with a lovely oak floor and it is furnished with rugs, comfortable sofas, television/DVD. A very pleasant dining area and an attractive fitted kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge freezer. The cottage has three lovely bedrooms including one pretty twin room on the ground floor with its own en-suite shower room with WC. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom which also enjoys rural views, a spacious twin room into which an extra full size single bed can be added, plus a well equipped bathroom with a bath, hand shower, basin and WC. Heating /electricity at no extra charge. Extra bed/wooden cot/high chair available. The ceiling heights downstairs are high and upstairs are in keeping with a traditional cottage. WiFi internet available.

At the front of Redway Manor Granary there is a fenced garden with outdoor furniture. Cars can be parked just outside the arched entrance which leads to the Granary garden. Nearby there is a lovely large lawned area where games can be played and in the farmhouse garden there are beautiful lakes which visitors can make arrangement to fish. Access to the farm is along a gravel lane. Regular bus service 15 minute walk. Public house, village shop and tea shop within pleasant 30 minutes stroll.
