This lovely stone cottage dates back to the 1700's. It is beautifully situated on the south west coast of the Island – only a two minute walk from the beach. This part of the coastline is renowned for its fossils and is completely unspoilt. Brook Green is a pretty coastal hamlet with a small group of attractive stone cottages. The pretty villages of Brook and Brighstone are nearby. The sandy coves of Colwell Bay and Totland are within a 10 – 15 minute drive.

It provides very attractive accommodation with a large garden for 6 people in 3 bedrooms. An ideal base for touring the Isle of Wight. The cottage is in a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from close to the cottage. The south west coast of the Island, with its many quiet bays, is within a 10 minute drive and the market town of Newport, with its medieval castle, is also nearby.

Dairy Cottage is an attractive stone cottage enjoying rural views and with glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle from the master bedroom. The castle is within a 15 minute walk. The cottage is located at the heart of the Isle of Wight and within a short drive of the coast in any direction. Local walks follow the top of the Downs as far as Freshwater and Alum Bay and enjoy wonderful views all along the way.

Lovely traditional thatched cottage situated within a few minutes walk of the centre of the lovely village of Brighstone on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. The village is renowned for its pretty centre with several thatched stone cottages. There is also a public house and a small bistro/tea shop. The beach at Brighstone is within a pleasant 15 minute walk. This is also a wonderful walking and cycling area with easy access to the coastal path plus the beautiful downs which link Carisbrooke and The Needles on the western tip of the Isle of Wight.

There are coastal or lovely downland views from most of the rooms. It has been furnished and equipped with care to provide lovely accommodation Wifi and telephone available.

Rectory Cottage is close to the centre of the pretty village of Brighstone on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight in 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. It is only a mile from the sea and is in a wonderful walking and cycling area. The cottage has recently been renovated to provide very attractive centrally heated accommodation with a walled courtyard style garden. There are lovely open views across fields to the downs and with glimpses of the sea from the upper bedrooms.

This lovely stone cottage is situated in the small rural hamlet of Bowcombe which stands between the pretty village of Shorwell and Carisbrooke with its medieval castle. Shorwell and Carisbrooke are both within a 5 minute drive and have public houses which are good for meals. The cottage offers easy access to the small bays and coves on the south west side of the Isle of Wight. Brighstone beach is within a 10 minute drive and the larger sandy beaches of Ventnor and Shanklin are within a 20 minute drive.

Situated within a few minutes walk of the centre of the pretty village of Shalfleet on the west side of the Isle of Wight. The village has a lovely 12th century church, its own village shop and a public house which is extremely good for meals. There is a tennis court which visitors are welcome to use and also an attractive heated swimming pool.
This lovely thatched cottage dates back to 1701. It is full of character with exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. It stands in ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with views of Brighstone Downs. The pretty village of Brighstone village with its tea rooms, public house and village shops is within a 15 minute stroll. The cottage is only a mile from the coast and here there are several quiet sandy coves. This is a wonderful walking area with footpaths leading from the cottage onto the downs and along the coast. The nearby coastal path offers some of the most beautiful and dramatic views and crosses Tennyson Down to the Needles on the western tip of the island.
Old Rock Cottage is a beautiful detached property which has been renovated to a high standard. There is an attractive mixture of natural stone floors and cream carpets which give a feeling of comfort and space. Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms - one double room and one twin room. On the ground floor there is an attractive single bedroom; a well equipped kitchen with fitted units, real wood work tops, an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine and small dishwasher; a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, W.C and basin. There is also a pretty sitting room with an inglenook fireplace, a sofa, an elderly piano (not tuned) and a wonderful old grandfather clock. A second sitting area has an attractive fireplace, sofas and television with Sky & DVD. There is a dining area and spacious conservatory style room with lovely views. French doors lead outside to an area of decking. Garden furniture is provided. To the side of the cottage is a secluded, heated swimming pool available from the end of May to the end of September. (It may be possible to arrange to use the pool towards the end of April and into October for an extra charge of £100 to £150). The cottage is centrally heated. Heating and electricity are provided at no additional charge. (It is not possible to have an open fire). An extra pull out bed, travel cot and high chair can be provided. (Please be aware that the pull out bed can only be used in the single bedroom). Telephone available and WiFi broadband internet is provided.
Old Rock Cottage has a large secluded garden of ¾ acre with lawns and shrubberies. Steps lead down from the pool area to the lawn and here games can be played. Children need to be closely supervised due to the swimming pool; a drop from the balcony into the lower garden; and a stream that runs along the western boundary of the property. There is parking space for 3 cars in the drive at the side of the cottage. Bus service 15 minutes walk
Nearby places to visit include Mottiston Manor, the lovely gardens of which are owned by the National Trust ; the pottery at Chessell; and Blackgang Chine Adventure Park. The small town of Freshwater is within a 10 minute drive and the larger market town of Newport, with its medieval castle of Carisbrooke, is only a 20 minute drive away. There is also the delightful coastal town of Yarmouth nearby. This is a renowned sailing centre offering a variety of good restaurants and charming shops.

The pretty village of Brighstone has a great mix of thatched and period housing. The village centre is a vibrant place with a couple of shops and a pub and a restaurant. The Brighstone is by the sea and on the coast there is a long shingle and sand beach which extends up and down the west coast.

Walking the Downs - Footpaths from Brighstone take you up onto the Down from which you can take a hill top walk to Freshwater Bay to the West or Carisbrooke to the East. The Down affords wonderful views of the Isle of Wight and some vantage points allow you to see almost the whole of the West side of the Isle of Wight. Alternatively, one can follow the coastal path from Brighstone and enjoy the dramatic coastline towards Alum Bay which takes in Brook and Freshwater Bay.
The ride starts in Freshwater Bay, joins a cycle track on the edge of Freshwater town going to Yarmouth. After seeing Yarmouth, with it's castle and boutique shops, the route continues to Totland and Totland Bay, where there is a beautiful beach, and on towards Alum Bay where we turn back towards Freshwater.

The West of the Isle of Wight is best known for its unspoilt nature and dramatic coastline. The areas is far less commercialised and the many of the beaches can be enjoyed almost to ones self. West Isle of Wight beaches include Totland Bay, Freshwater Bay, Compton Beach, Brook Beach and Bembridge Beach.

Two dogs are welcome, a third by prior agreement. The enclosed back garden is fenced. Pets are not permitted upstairs, on the furniture or in the bedrooms. We ask owners not to allow their dogs to foul the garden. Dogs can be left confined in the property while visitors are out as long as they are not noisy or destructive. Puppies and also dogs with incontinence problems are not permitted without specific agreement. Please ensure that your pet's treatment for the prevention of fleas is up to date. Cats accepted by agreement.

Old Rock is a holiday cottage set in landscaped and terraced grounds. The building has two floors and is immediately surrounded to the South and West by areas of hard landscaping and decking, a small front garden to the East and a gravel area to the North. A swimming pool sits to the South of the property, as does the main car parking area. Due to the size and age of this dwelling, toilet and bathroom facilities are only available on the ground floor.
